Mitsui Garden Hotel Gotanda - Tokyo

Located in a residential area along the Yamanote Line, there are large supermarkets, convenience stores, department stores, restaurants, and cafes nearby. It's very close to Haneda Airport, and a taxi ride isn't too expensive. If you take the train, you'll need to transfer at Shinagawa. The rooftop open-air bath is very comfortable!

The hotel is very close to Gotanda Station, about a 5-minute walk from the station to the hotel. Although it's close to Haneda Airport, you have to transfer, which I imagine would be quite tiring if you're carrying luggage. For shopping and dining, the Yamanote Line is very convenient. You could also take a taxi to the airport, it's not too expensive. Across the street from the hotel is ***, which I stumbled upon on my way to Don Quijote. There are plenty of places to eat nearby; you don't need to specifically seek them out. I didn't book the hotel breakfast because I heard it was just so-so, so I went to a nearby Saison bakery instead, which was pretty good. However, the sealant around the bathroom sink was almost completely peeled off, and it seems the hotel doesn't check these things before guests check in. Also, the ventilation fan was weak, leaving a lot of steam after a shower, so I went to the large public bath on the top floor the next day. I requested a room away from the station, which I think I got, but I could still hear noise. It seems sleeping in a room on the station side at night would be impossible. The soundproofing isn't great either; I could clearly hear conversations from outside. The room rate was very appealing. But I wouldn't recommend it; I still prefer Hamamatsucho!

Excellent! The front desk isn't on the ground floor; I think it's on the 15th. It's super easy to find once you exit the subway station, and after finding it once, you'll know the most convenient way to get there. It's very convenient for getting to many places in Tokyo, thanks to the Yamanote Line. The hot spring bath was also very relaxing. I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance!

The room was well soundproofed, and the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. There's an outdoor hot spring on the 16th floor (rooftop). The hot spring is open both in the morning and evening, and they provide toiletries and disposable items.

Extremely satisfied! Staying in Gotanda was definitely the best choice! The location is super convenient, just over 20 minutes from Haneda, making it easy to get to and from. There's a large supermarket downstairs, and the lobby is on the 15th floor with a lovely terrace – perfect for bringing up food and having an afternoon tea. The room isn't big, but the bed is very comfortable. Water isn't complimentary. The rooftop onsen is incredibly relaxing, highly recommended!

The room facilities were very clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job every day. The rooftop terrace was beautiful and great for photos. The service was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was too small, and the location isn't very central. The hotel is right next to the train tracks, making it super noisy. There were also a lot of sex workers around. I won't choose this hotel again, even though Mitsui itself is usually quite good.

Every time I come to Tokyo, I have to stay here. The hotel's location is excellent, with comprehensive amenities nearby. It's super convenient to get anywhere. The staff are all very attentive and provide great service. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Tokyo.
