SHIBUYA STREAM HOTEL

The hotel is located in the center of Shibuya. The lobby is on the fourth floor of a commercial building. The three floors below are restaurants and businesses. It is very convenient to travel by various vehicles, shop, and eat, and the quality is not low. Google Japan's office is in the same building. The breakfast quality is good. The city traffic outside the window is very noisy at night, even if the windows are all closed. However, the hotel's hygiene problem is a bit serious. One is that the room is carpeted, which feels not very clean and full of dirt. I regret putting my luggage directly on the floor. What's more terrifying is that on the day of leaving, I found a string of strange little red bites on my body, which are smaller and harder than mosquito bites. I checked it out and it was suspected to be flea bites. Because I was eager to leave in the morning to catch an early flight, I didn't go to argue with the hotel. But the bad thing is that I was bitten more after returning to Beijing, and I may have brought a few home! Therefore, the whole family has been very nervous these days to vacuum and disinfect the luggage and clothes repeatedly every day. I have never seen fleas before in my life! I have been to hundreds of hotels in dozens of countries, and this is the first time. So I did some research on fleas in Japanese hotels. It turns out that fleas have been rampant in Japanese hotels since the end of 2023. And this hotel, Shibuya Stream Excel Hotel (yes, the full name has the word Excel! Searching Shibuya Stream on the map app of Apple phones will always lead to Shibuya Stream Excel), was mentioned by travelers on a travel website six years ago as having fleas! As shown in the picture. So my bite this time was not groundless. This is not a cheap hotel. The existence of such things shows that the hygiene is not in place. I will never stay here again.

The location is very convenient, JR Shibuya station can be directly connected to the hotel, and Shibuya Sky is opposite the shop. The breakfast food is of good quality, the place is comfortable, and the staff's attitude is good.

The location is very convenient for shopping and transportation. There is a 7-11 downstairs and LAWSON opposite. For family travel, the hotel has washing machines which is very convenient, but there are only two in the whole hotel which is too few... everyone is rushing to use them.

The Shibuya district is quite stressful, but it makes all of Tokyo's points of interest easy to access. The hotel, a few minutes from the metro, is therefore very well located. Reception on the 4th floor, rooms between the 9th and 13th floors of the building. Multiple restaurants and shops nearby, including in the same building. Large room (30 m2) on the 10th floor with breathtaking views, which explains the very high price. Impeccably clean. Very comfortable bedding. Toilets separate from the bathroom. Few room services. The buffet breakfast is taken at the Torrent restaurant, on the same floor as the Reception, and it is excellent even if the choice is limited. If you need to go to Haneda at the end of your stay, the hotel will order and offer you the taxi which will take you to the terminal (very close, but hey, when you are loaded...) from where the shuttle to the airport (ask for times at Reception).

The location is very good. However, contrary to its appearance, the interior of the hotel is outdated and the amenities are poor compared to the price of the hotel. The best advantage is that the location is great! And best of all, breakfast is also moved to the 25th floor, so you can enjoy a delicious breakfast while looking at the Tokyo city view. The breakfast at the hotel here is really delicious. Japanese home-cooked food + croissant and red bean-glazed noodles are the best.
