Hosteria Toloriu 1848 l'Alt Urgell - Singular's Hotels

I have to say that this hotel has met all the expectations I had and has exceeded them with flying colors. The location is enviable. It is true that you have to drive for 3-4 minutes on a curvy road, but if you want a hotel in a mountain town, isolated and with incredible views of the Cadí mountain range, fields with horses, the mountains,... You accept it with pleasure. The building, in a small town of about 10 inhabitants, is quite modern, but fully integrated into the architecture of the rest of the buildings. All stone, percious. The rooms are very spacious, with a large sink, large and very new beds, TV, wardrobe, armchairs and table, heating with a very efficient thermostat,... simply perfect. Regarding the friendliness and cordiality of the staff, I can simply say that it is unbeatable. And the breakfast is worth it, very complete and at a good price. The only thing we didn't try because of the activities we had scheduled was dinner. And we were left with the desire because looking at the menu and some of the dishes we saw looked very appetizing. In short, and I say this from very few SUPER RECOMMENDED establishments.

Hosteria Toloriu is a place that everyone should visit. Is very complete. The accommodation part is charming, the rooms are 10. The restaurant is perfect, the food is of a high standard. It has parking and accepts animals. The place is beautiful.

Excellent hotel in a privileged location. Very spacious and comfortable rooms. Very good trea**ent from the staff who throughout the stay made an effort to make it very pleasant. Excellent and abundant breakfast. And the dinners even better.

4-day getaway with our labrador Anova, the best thing about the hotel is that you have your pet with you without limits of anything, room, restaurant, garden, etc... Mother nature in its purest form, small charming hotel, located in a beautiful area to disconnect , relaxation, excursions etc... with your pet. If you are looking to disconnect and have a pet, don't hesitate, the entire hotel team is very pleasant. We will be back !!

Charming place maybe, but nothing more. In our case it was a total disappoin**ent and a scam. The price is for a four-star hotel and does not correspond to the services offered. The staff is not very friendly, respectful and not at all empathetic. But also not professional. The room did not correspond to the price paid, it was an oven in the middle of the afternoon when we checked in and at 12 at night when it was already cool outside, inside it continued to be unbearably hot which prevented rest. We told the staff and they seemed unfazed. They only gave us ice to put in the fan. The hotel was half occupied and at no time were they offered us another room or other alternatives. We spent the night awake because of the heat. After a couple of hours of going to bed we woke up due to heat and the noise of the fan and decided to go out to the patio in search of fresh air. There we found another surprise: the door leading to the patio - marked as an emergency exit - was locked from the inside. The breakfast, limited in quality and quantity, did not correspond to the price paid. In general poor cleaning. At the time of check-out they wanted to charge us again for the room that they had already charged us in advance when making the reservation. Toloriu never again!!

Excellent staff that make you feel at home.

Charming place and incredible views, but that's not all. In our case it was a total disappoin**ent. On the first night, and by chance because we went down to reception to ask for the TV, they informed us that the boiler was broken and neither the heating nor the hot water was working... (ext. temp. -4C). It's almost 11pm and we have nowhere to go. We spent the night in the cold. The next morning with astonishing passivity they tell us that they have known about it since Friday and that they have not found a solution (we entered on Saturday) and that they do not guarantee that it will work again during our stay. Of course we decided to leave and cancel our entire reservation. A lack of respect and incredible communication! We certainly won't be back.

The place is very nice, exceptional service and the rooms are very good, the food at the Restaurant is very good, not cheap but not expensive either. We do not give 5 stars for two reasons: even if you call to ask if it is snowing properly, they do not tell you that it is better to bring chains just in case (as happened to us this weekend), the parking (outdoor field) should be Well signposted and not like now when with a snow storm you can't see it, and you get right into some very narrow streets of the town. Finally, I find that they charge you two euros for a refilled and “filtered” bottle of water. But as you can see, they are small aspects that would be missing for the outstanding one. Breakfast of 10! Very reduced accessibility
