Came here fir food whilst staying elsewhere. Staff were friendly and accommodating. My husband had steak and I had fish and chips. The accommodated my husbands dairy intolerance with no issue. The food portions were very generous and the food was top quality. The nicest fish I've had in a long time and husband said the nicest steak he'd had. Definitely recommend for when staying in Tongue.

Such a great hotel in Tongue with an excellent view. Beds were comfy, shower was great, the room was quiet, easy parking and the staff excellent. Restaurant on site with plenty of buzz and the best fish pie ever!!! I couldn't eat it all so they even reheated it for my breakfast (because I wasn't going to let it go to waste it was soo soo good!!!).

This review is for the restaurant. We stayed in Tongue 2 nights and ate at the Ben Lomond Hotel both evenings. After 2 weeks in Scotland, in the major centres of Edinburgh and Inverness, where the food was definitely also good, we would rate this the best we've had. The steak, fish pie, pork medallions and soup were all outstanding, but the toffee pudding.... it was incredibly good! Friendly staff, great service, excellent food!!

Stayed one night. Room size ok, clean, dinner great, huge portions. Would not serve continental style breakfast, only full scottish, so we didn't stay for that meal. Situated in the centre of the village. Parking on site. Views are good from the back looking out across the Tongue estuary. Tea & coffee makings available in room.No lift, worth bearing in mind as rooms are upstairs. EV Chargers available and worked, about 300 metres away

The owner very kindly opened 2 of their clamping pods for us before the season got started as we were part of a bigger party on tour with a theatre company. Each pod is like a tiny house, fully equipped kitchen, fridge, toaster, kettle and basket of continental breakfast things. The bed's are in a little nook, making it very cosy. Bunk beds were available too so great if staying with children. Great hot shower and wood burner style heater to help take the chill off in the evening. The view from the pods has to be seen to be believed, a mountain, a castle, sea loch, chickens and sheep literally right outside. The main hotel was due to open for the season a few weeks after our stay, it looks excellent too. We will definitely visit again. Thanks

A pleasant dining room with friendly staff who gave us very quick and efficient service. The best salmon we have ever eaten anywhere on our travels, ten out of ten. Highly recommend a meal or a drink at the bar.

Lovely hotel with great views and super helpful friendly staff. Room was well equipped and very clean and the food in the hotel was excellent. Lots of things to do around Tongue including hill walking, easier walking, beaches to visit, fishing if that's your thing and lots of places to go for day trips so would recommend you stay for a few days to enjoy all that is on offer around this area.

Recommended by the B&B I was staying at who didn't do evening meals. Nice local pub with the usual beers and pub food. Ordered the fish supper which was a big meal. The menu said that they only had one chef so to be patient when ordering but my meal arrived quickly so very happy

Very well located, very friendly staff, great food. On the other hand, the internet wasn't great, the hotel doesn't open until 4pm, which isn't ideal, and the walls were so thin, that you could even hear when someone in another room flushed the toilet.
