Fanstastic hotel great spacious rooms app was a great touch for reporting issues checking meal times and a hotel map everything u need at your finger tips. Food was good drinks quality and selection available was one of the best I have experienced in all inclusive with a lot of proper brands available. the only let down for this hotel is the location is abit far out so anybody that cannot walk a long distance would need a taxi into torremolinos itself. On the plus side with it being on the airport side of torremolinos 10/12 mins in a taxi and you are there we booked with easyJet and private transfer was £6 return for 3 people. We uprgraded to a premium pool view room overlooking kids pool at the back and it was fantastic large terrace/balcony with 2 sunbeds and a parasol to enjoy the early morning/late evening sun when pool area was closed. Overall a great hotel for families with a really relaxed feel would definitely book again.

The trip started off not so great, we queued for nearly an hour to check in. Whilst we appreciate that these things happen, spanish guests were jumping in and getting served before us which I feel is unfair. Especially as a person who has a hidden disability, I was in pain waiting around and needed to lay down but again aware that it was a busy time but did not appreciate spanish guests jumping in and staff allowing it. Everyone should wait patiently the same as anyone else. The room itself was clean and comfortable, however a bottle of water would have been nice in the room- just an idea. The hotel was clean and tidy at all times. There was a horrible sewage smell from the toilet on the last day, but was not bothered as we checked out early for our flight home. The food was good, however was disgusted that birds were flying in and around the restaurant, very unhygienic and do not agree with this. The pool was perfect temperature, clean pool towels for free. Great location. Like that it had 2 pools, one out the back was lovely and secluded from the public. Nice cocktails. Apart from the birds flying around the restaurant, and long waiting queues and spanish guests allowing to be served first, apart from that it was a good stay.

Lovely hotel but a few downsides ! Food selection on the children's bit just consisted of Pasta, Pizza, Chips and Chicken Dippers. I understand this is what most children eat but not every night surely ? Didn't have an issue getting a sunbed till the Friday ! People just left the towels on the sunbeds unattended for hours and we missed out. With a 6year old it was very disappointing ! Hall lights stay on all night so shines through your bedroom door ! Plus sides The lady on the pool bar that seemed to be there everyday was lovely. Didn't catch her name. Dark hair and wears glasses. Entertainment team lovely. Ladies were always smiley and friendly. You get pool towels that don't cost unless you exchange for fresh for 2 euros. Room was very clean. Liked the all inclusive snack area was handy with a child. Overall thank you for a beautiful stay at Occidental Torremolinos :)

Please think twice before you decide to spend your money for booking room in this hotel. The standard of "family room" is not the same as published on website of the hotel, you would be very surprised to get the room in old part of the hotel complex: lack of warm water, obsolete and rotten equipment in the bathroom, no tv working, dirty walls of the room, lack of equipment visible on website (standing lamp). Extremely unfriendly staff suggesting to pay 35 EUR per day to upgrade the room standard, in case of problems suggesting that your English is not good enough to deal with the complaint. Queue in early morning to water pool because of deficiency of parachutes preventing from the sun. All inclusive a'la carte not working in June (you pay for the meal you do not get). Additional fee for safe, exchange of towels. Birds coming to eating area stealing the food from your plate. Price to quality received - zero. Definitely not 4* hotel.
