Iberostar Málaga Playa

we stayed in a studio room with a large porch, kitchen ( the kitchen needs some sort of table and chairs....nowhere to sit and eat except outside)...bedroom and bathroom.... we had a lovely view of the sea from our balcony....drier rack was helpful on the balcony....the room was very clean....food was good enough with lots of choices for all...location is very nice.. on a promenade overlooking the sea....parking is free in a lot next door....paved and very safe...I travel for months at a time all over the world....I have never, ever seen so many strollers and small children in one place....neither good nor bad....but a lot of crying everywhere in the resort....it was lovely, but wouldn't return....

Hotel is lovely, staff are so kind, welcoming and will do anything for you. They really made a fuss of our 3 and 1 year old, which they loved. The other guests in the hotel though are a different story… most people are in couples (usually 50+) and all they could do was turn their nose up at you and how you are parenting your children. Made us feel uncomfortable for the whole duration of our stay- like they’ve never had children before, rude! If they didn’t want to be around children, my advice would be- go to an adults only hotel!!! Also, smoking is allowed in ALL outdoor areas, which is quite disgusting in our eyes (non-smokers). Breathing in 2nd hand smoke when you are walking outside around the hotel or even sitting on your sunbed (near the children’s area!!!) then when you are sat in the restaurant or indoor bar where mini disco etc is, all you can smell is smoke- knocks you sick. Other than that, hotel is fantastic, food was delicious, varied every night, themed nights every evening with a wide selection. Staff in the restaurant (chefs etc) should be proud of themselves. Drinks aren’t brilliant on all inclusive, lots of pre mixed cocktail mixes and cheap alcohol. Splash pool for children is great and monitored by life guards to make sure children are remaining safe and following the rules. Beach front location with a lovely promenade to walk down. I had a massage in the spa and it was wonderful, definitely what I needed as an hours relaxation!

4 night Easy Jet holiday 21-24 March 2024. Paid a pittance to upgrade to half board, well worth doing although we didn’t pay for all inclusive as that was quite a hike in price. All food is buffet style but freshly cooked and well presented with a wide selection. Pool area very nice. Was quiet so no race for sunbeds. Nice board walk with bars along the seafront. Free water from machines throughout the hotel, my only negative point is you had to pay for water in the restaurant in the evening for some reason. Staff very friendly. Good break, would return.

This was our first time to Torrox. We usually stay in villas but decide to give the Iberostar Malaga a shot and glad we did. The hotel is great with the friendliest staff I have ever come across. The hotel itself is impressive and spotlessly clean. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. The pool area is great and like somebody said in a previous review “it’s not a race to put towels down on beds in the morning” The hotel is situated in a great location for the beach, bars and restaurants. The town of Nerja is a 10 minute taxi ride away and worth a visit. All in all we had a great time and will definitely return one day😎👍
