62N Hotel - City Center

The staff were very helpful when I needed information. The room especially, the bathroom and bedding, were clean. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and with lots of choices and option for healthy eating. The location was just a few minutes walk, from the bus lines, the harbour and the old town. Vib

The staff was wonderful but there are a few things to know about the hotel that I wish I knew. The shower is not separated, it's a curtain and the bathroom floor. It's very easy to make a mess since it's not enclosed. Also, if the hotel has the heat on you cannot turn it off, you can lower it and open the windows but you can't turn it off if you like to sleep with it cold. Lastly, the beds, even if it says queen or king on the reservation are just two beds pushed together. If you're someone that wants one large bed you won't get it here. Also, the beds all have a down cushion. They aren't very supportive if you prefer a firmer bed.

We got stuck in Torshavn for two days when Icelandair cancelled our flight. Stayed here ,it was fine and met our needs

Very basic hotel in the town center. Clean, quiet, easy to walk to the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was somewhat disappointing, all cold foods, small selection.

This review is for the Guesthouse behind the hotel. It was expensive and very bleak. First of all - a warning if you have any mobility issues. Rickety wooden outside steps and then inside another daunting steep flight of steps to my corner room carrying my lightweight rolling suitcase and my backpack on. It's a workout for a 78 year old woman! There was a single bed shoved into a small alcove with the redeeming factor that it had a reading lamp over the bed. No nightstand, no attempt to even have some shelves maybe for putting phone, glasses, book, etc. I ended up moving the chair next to the bed to use for this. There was an awkward tall piece of furniture that served no purpose whatsoever. I tipped it over and moved it to another wall under the tv so I could open my suitcase and use it as a luggage rack. The table was adequate to use as a desk for my laptop. Wifi worked well. Charging outlets again were in inadequate places with leaving my phone laying on the floor to recharge. Again, use of space was not laid out well. There was wall space to have had a luggage rack and shelves to sort out clothes. There were just 3 hangers on hooks. The shower was one of those that has no stall, just a handheld over the sink type of showers. All of that being said, there was an adequate kitchen downstairs and a supermarket just steps away. The hotel breakfast room was very nice and I did enjoy that. The front desk staff was very helpful with calling me taxis for the airport and to my boat excursion on rib62. It was very easy to walk around the city and see the sights. I paid over 100e a night and it was way over priced, but the Faroes are expensive. I overall felt that a little more effort could be made to make these small rooms more hospitable.
