I didn't expect the food to be different, so when I went to the place to eat, thinking it was an introductory menu for the inn, I found that the menu was completely different, and my child and I were disappointed. I wanted them to sing if it was different in the room or if the menu was different. It wasn't worth going all the way to the island.

Compared to the past (before the coronavirus pandemic), this ryokan's reputation has fallen considerably. This is the only natural hot spring in Tosa, and it is a facility so scenic and located in an inconvenient location that you have no choice but to stay here if you are visiting Seiryuji Temple on a pilgrimage or attending nearby Meitoku Gijuku High School. Speaking of Tosaryu Onsen, this is the same place. What had changed greatly was the ``food'' that was the selling point of this place.Even though I don't like fish, they were offering a large amount of quality fish and dishes at reasonable prices.I was surprised when I went there for the first time in a while. Both the quality and quantity have declined significantly...The price is for dinner and breakfast on a set trip, so details of the contents are unknown... I don't know if this is a ``just'' hot spring inn, and it costs money to renew and maintain the inside of the hotel, but this is no good. If there was another facility where I could stay, I would feel comfortable replacing it. The scenery is still amazing! ! One word. Nature doesn't change, but customer CS does. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that all the staff members have become younger? Back when the landlady was making an appearance, I felt that the food alone was the best in Shikoku, but...free shuttle service from Kochi Station (however, advance reservations required), round-trip transportation to Seiryuji Temple, etc...CS around here. It seems that it is still being maintained.

I thought the hot springs were cloudy, but the open-air bath was comfortable. It was in the middle of repairing again. Both breakfast and dinner are delicious. Especially the "salt tataki" served for dinner was exquisite. The building is old, but it has been renovated in places, and the staff was friendly and I was able to spend a relaxing time. It was a good location for a morning walk, about a 10-minute walk to Seiryu-ji Temple, the 36th temple.

I was able to stay cheaply with a life insurance contract discount, but considering the fixed price, I felt that the amenities were particularly poor compared to hotels of the same price. Bath towels are shabby, and if you like hot springs, if you put a new towel with a logo on it, you can take it home as a souvenir. Also, the living odors that have accumulated in the room can't be helped, but I think that the room should be improved a little more, such as there being no deodorizing spray that is now found in all accommodation facilities, and the bed mats are quite hard. Since the accommodation was annex, the main building may be different.
