Check in was straight forward and very friendly. The lifts are very quiet and fast. We had Room 1501, a suite with a separate living room. In this room, there is a round table & 2 chairs, a deep couch which is not that comfortable, an arm chair, coffee table, TV mounted on the wall, separate desk & bar. There are 2 spaces for your suitcases, hanging space and a few shelves for clothes. As like al hotels, we had to request more coat hangers. In the bedroom, a king bed which is comfortable, a pillow menu, side tables with drawers & a tv mounted on the wall. The bathroom has a large walk in shower, separate spa bath, double vanity & toilet. There are 2 double power points on each side of the vanity, which is very rare to see in hotels. There are also double power points on each side of the bed. This is the only hotel I have stayed in that has so many double power points - well thought out. A small balcony leads off from the living room which overlooks the harbor. There is no balcony off the bedroom, which is at the back of the hotel. The back of the hotel overlooks the pool & ocean. There are restaurants on site, a bar and a swim up bar in the pool. The pool is great, it is large, a lot of sun lounges, deck chairs and cabanas which you can hire. The pool bar is also accessed from land and have good cocktails and poolside service. The Ardo hotel next door also uses the pool. There is a lifeguard on duty every day. The bar can get very busy on a Friday night, but there is always somewhere to sit. If you do not finish your drink, you take it up to your room. The ****** on site, we did not gamble, but did sit in there to have a nightcap watching people lose their money! There is cafe that serves tea, coffees & snacks. You do get alot of visitors just for the ******, which also has a dress code & if you need money, an ATM. We used the bikes, which is free, to ride into town for breakfast and look along The Strand. The old aquarium was demolished and a new one is being built. The ferry terminal is about a 10 minute walk where you can catch the ferry over to Magnetic Island. There is a tourism shop as the ferry terminal for tours & souvenirs. The Ville is out of town, but there are some good restaurants/pubs that are in walking distance, allow 20 mins. It is an easy walk. We did walk down to the C Bar, which is along the Strand, that took us about 30 minutes. Great cafe for eating. Overall, The Ville is a lovely place to stay, staff are friendly & helpful.
