The Dalgety Apartments

Great Apartment Lived in Townsville so far. Only Parking is a bit of issue with not Clear instructions about the interconnecting building or sinage. Otherwise great spacious apartments

The Dalgety apartment was clean, modern, and perfectly located. Check-in was smooth and communication was clear throughout. The space felt secure and comfortable, with great amenities and a cosy layout. Ideal for a short stay — walking distance to cafes, shops, and public transport. Would definitely book again for convenience and comfort.

The apartments were so rundown they were full of mould across all areas including the fan in the main bedroom which was a health hazard the shower the dust bin and areas of the floor. The sofa and carpets have not had a clean in a long time I didn’t want to even sit on them so had to move the duvet and put it on the sofa to be able to sit down. It is clear the apartments have not had any renovation or attention for a long time. They are very outdated very worn out and nothing is clean or modern. They charged me $2000 for the week but it was absolutely not worth it considering the condition of the apartment. The amenities in the kitchen, pots pans etc were still dirty from the previous occupant. The hob was not clean. It did not make cooking a pleasurable experience. all in all the apartments need some love and attention and they should not be charging the prices they do - it was a health hazard, especially the fan in the bedroom covered in mould which guests have to breathe in. I would never stay there again.

Apartment was filthy, food under the table. Had to sweep floor on arrival. No hot water for showers, was luke warm at very best! Staff wasn’t overly helpful, one of the worse apartments I ever stayed at! Reception hours stated that it closes at 5pm yet when I rang I was told 4pm shut and had to check in online and wasn’t helpful. Will never stay here again

Parking far from stay and pool doesn’t have any amenities even basic towels

Kitchen could have been better equipped. More Towels in the bathroom. Light wasn't working in the living room. Recycling area was locked .

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The room was run-down, poorly maintained, and not properly cleaned. Presentation felt uncaring, and there was no Wi-Fi and definitely no charm. The pool was grubby, and the gym had an overpowering chemical smell. The property was nothing like the photos. It’s such a shame because, with a little care, attention, and modest investment, this place could be excellent. Sadly, I would not stay here again.

Pros: Unit was lovely & spacious & the kitchen had everything we needed. The reading books were a good idea. The pool on the top floor of the parking building had great views of the city & the lady on reception was friendly & helpful. Cons: The beds were only made up with sheets. When we pulled the doona out of the cupboard in the main room it was dirty. The 2nd room had been split into 2 beds but there was only 1 Q size doona in the cupboard so we had no blanket for the 2nd bed. It was handy having secure parking but getting to and from the car park in the neighbouring building was somewhat tedious - not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Overall we would recommend The Dalgety Apartments but hope they provide clean doonas/blankets for the next guests.

What a disappointment. Unit 1304 was filthy. The carpet was stained. The furniture was stained. The kitchen was filthy as was the bathroom. There was NO WIFi available. Wifi is essential in 2025 especially for overseas travelers. Everything you plan or book for overseas travel requires wifi.
