Classique Bed & Breakfast

A fantastic place. Spending a few days at Classique Bed and Breakfast was truly an experience. Both the house itself, which really carries the charm of history, as well as the rooms, the overall standard and the breakfast. Everything was superb! A big plus for us Swedes was that the host couple speaks Swedish! Iva grew up in Sweden and she and her husband, Russel, lived and worked in Sweden for several years before moving to Australia. It felt good to be able to communicate in your own language for a while...

The room was very cute, very spacious, and very clean. Breakfast was elaborate and delicious, and also included a generous fruit plate, along with eggs fried or boiled according to each guest’s request. Best of all was meeting the caring and generous hosts, who created a wonderful family-like atmosphere.

Lovely friendly and welcoming hosts. Fantastic breakfast in a beautiful old Queenslander. Very clean, tidy and comfortable accommodation close to town. Will definitely try and stay there again.

A gorgeous historic place. Immaculately clean. Lovely hosts Iva and Russell,who are very helpful with tips and advice. Delicious,full breakfast (cereal,toast,eggs,an amazing array of fruit) on the deck,overlooking the garden. A nearby great Thai restaurant for dinner.

Superior breakfast which knocked the entire rivals of 5 star hotels in several cities around Australia. The host couple is friendly, committed and clearly experienced in international hospitality. Eva and Russell are the best hosts, really friendly in all aspects, accommodating ting every need, excellent breakfast, Russell makes a mean poached egg. Beautiful room and beautiful home. Fab at local information, we would never have ventured up Castle Hill if she hadn't recommended it, stunning 😃

We just stayed one night as we were travelling through Townsville, and were very satisfied. It's a lovely traditional Australian house, furnished in period style, but with all modern comforts. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, and gave us a wonderful (and healthy) breakfast in the garden. Highly recommended.
