I recently stayed in Mikuniya Ryokan for my first experience in a ryokan, and I must say I was impressed by the traditional atmosphere and the careful service offered by the establishment. The staff were dressed in kimono and greeted with a friendly smile. The tatami and Futons offered a comfortable and unique sleep experience, and the ryokan also offers Japanese thermal baths, which was one of my favorite moments during my stay. The bathroom was very relaxing, with a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape.

If you're thinking about staying at a ryokan in Kinosaki, this is the place to go. It's the smallest (in terms of the number of rooms offered) but the most highly coveted inn in the neighborhood, and for good reason. Kazuyuki-san and his family are the ultimate hospitality connoisseurs, genuinely passionate about providing the best experience for their visitors and sharing their culture. It truly felt like staying at a five-star hotel with meals comparable to Michelin-star dining, without any pretentiousness. Only a 4-5 minute easy stroll from the train station, Kojinmari is nestled among charming shops and onsens. This is extremely convenient for onsen hopping, shopping, and making day trips. It's also right across from a gorgeous canal. If you get a room with a direct view, you'll enjoy the sight of the mountains, koi fish swimming about, and locals crossing the bridge. The rooms are incredibly spacious for two people, and the entire building has been renovated with great care, reflecting a deep investment in customer comfort. The quality of the natural materials used in the rooms and furniture is evident, from the organic bedsheets to the design-centered furnishings. The space was incredibly comfortable, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and offered the best matcha we've tasted in Japan, along with a red bean snack. Kazuyuki-san later delivered our luggage to the room and provided us with a clipboard of helpful information on dining and visiting sites. Of the seven onsens, he suggested the top three, which were spot on. Although we didn’t experience the dinner, the breakfast was a feast for both the eyes and the stomach, artfully prepared by the grandmother. Before discovering Kojinmari, I had considered other ryokans in the area due to high reviews and affordability. I'm so glad I didn't settle. Upon visiting a few of these highly-rated ryokans in person, the conditions, noise levels, and sheer number of foreign guests were overwhelming. Staying at Kojinmari was undoubtedly the most authentic and exceptional experience, service, and accommodation I have experienced in Japan. I cannot give this place enough stars. 10/10. Three things to note: 1) Be sure to bring cash, as you'll need to pay for the onsen pass or ”tax” for the seven onsens depending on how you booked. 2) We had no issues communicating with Kazuyuki-san in English, but be sure to have the Google Translate app ready just in case you'd like to have in-depth conversations. 3) The first floor of the inn is a shop that sources quality gift items from all over Japan. Most of the unique souvenirs can't be found at other shops, so if something catches your eye, get it!

Very recommended, the hotel is a little behind. Quiet, the room is very large and very, very comfortable. Dinner is also very, very, well, fan, the dishes are very fresh, because maybe the room we stayed in is upstairs in the kitchen, so the cooking fume can be adjusted in during cooking, and the taste is a bit big. The check-out time is 10:00 in the morning. It would be perfect if it can be extended to 12:00.

It was my first time to stay at a hot spring hotel and the experience was very good. The receptionist at the front desk was very enthusiastic and explained very carefully. Although the hardware facilities were very old, they were well maintained and cleaned very cleanly. Dinner was served in the room. The ingredients were all fresh and there were so many things that it was impossible to finish! After checking out, we took the hotel bus to the station. The service staff bid us farewell warmly. The service in this Japanese-style hotel is really a different experience from ordinary five-star hotels. I will stay here again if I have the opportunity!

This time I used it for my grandfather's two-person trip. The hotel is not flashy compared to other group hotels, but on the contrary, it is relieved. The reception is kojinmari, but the staff 々 is squeaky and the check-in / out is smooth. Meals are buffet style in the morning and evening. Very good, such as the arrangement of taste, items, and dishes. I think it can be used for family trips and various travel styles. The room is large, easy to use and clean. Now, there are 々 restrictions on the response to corona infection, but I think that infection prevention is also quite well done. You can sleep quietly at night. Although it is a little far from the hot spring town, there is a free shuttle bus to and from the hot spring town, so it is safe and secure. I think the cost performance is very good. If you are a car, you can go to Marine World and Izushi from here, and Tottori Sand Dunes takes about 1 time. Amanohashidate, Ine, and Maizuru are also relatively convenient (winter is hard).

The food is delicious, the cospa of comfort twin and universal twin (although there is no view) is good, and this is the third stay. You need to walk a little or take the inn bus to visit the outdoor hot springs, but it doesn't bother you in a pleasant season (laughs). If you like long-established inns, I think the main building or another inn is better, but this is the best for me who likes twin rooms. The convenience of staying at a city hotel while enjoying the hot water in Kinosaki. The comfort room is not wasted in the size of the walk-in closet, the functionality of the washbasin and toilet, and the shower room. I really liked it. The view is also important in the sea inn, but this room with good cospa is pushed in shirosaki. The towels are from the front desk when going to the outdoor hot spring, and the large communal bath in the inn is full of bath towels and face towels. The past two visits in August, and the outdoor hot springs and inns were lively (noisy 々), but the GW was quiet and I enjoyed the outdoor hot springs, inns and meals. I will visit you again. Thank you very much.

In addition to the reviews here, the reviews of Rakuten Travel, which I booked, were highly rated, so I decided to stay. It was a very good inn according to word of mouth. I would recommend it to anyone. [Room] I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room with a bed because the practitioner was an elderly person with lame legs. It is composed of a twin bedroom and a Japanese-style room, but the Japanese-style room has a table and chairs instead of a low table and chairs, so it was easy to eat in the room. The washroom and toilet were conveniently located. There is no bath in the room, but the private bath was right in front of the room and it was easy to move around. In addition, the great thing about this room is the river view on the big screen of 8 high sash windows. You can see the Maruyama River and the mountain range on the opposite bank, and watch the waterfowl playing at your leisure. It is a superb view because it is located away from the hot spring town. [Bath] The hot spring bath is only an indoor bath, but like the room, it was a pleasant bath with a river view. In addition, there is a free private hot spring bath, which is convenient and appreciated for those who need assistance. It's a long walk to the hot spring town, but there's no need to worry about visiting hot springs, as a private car will pick you up at any time in the morning or evening. In rainy or cold weather, I think it's more convenient to stay at an inn in a remote location with a pick-up service than an inn in a hot spring town that doesn't have a pick-up service. [Cooking] It was crab season, but I had plans to eat it on another occasion, so I had a normal basic course here. Dinner was served in the room and was relaxing. It was a nice service that the last rice of the course can be chosen from Kamameshi or Kaisendon. Breakfast was a Japanese set meal at the restaurant corner, but only the soft serve ice cream for dessert was all-you-can-eat. Tsure, who likes soft serve ice cream, was delighted. I'm sure your kids will love it too. All-you-can-eat soft serve ice cream in the morning is like a dream (laughs). [Amenity] I was impressed with the ingenuity. Hot spring inns often have a small plastic bag with the inn's logo on it, which is used to bring small items to the public bath. The inside of this inn's plastic bag is divided into two, and even if you put a wet towel after bathing in one, you can put small items that you don't want to get wet in the other. I have stayed in more than 50 hot spring inns so far, but I was impressed with this style of bag for the first time. In addition, the bathing towels with the inn logo were also devised. Overall, the towels are white, but they have colored lines on both sides. There are other inns that have this kind of ingenuity, but I was impressed because there are not many inns in this price class. Changing the color of the towel or the color of the toothbrush may be troublesome and may cost money in some cases, but it is a consideration that is appreciated by the customer. An inn that pays attention to such details is a really good inn. [Hospitality] Everyone is very kind and pleasant, including the proprietress. There were a lot of things that made me feel that you are trying to be as thoughtful and creative as possible in the details. It is a very warm inn that is friendly to both the elderly and children. [Cospa] This time I used the national travel support, so I was able to stay at a good price, but I think the cospa is good even at the price without discount. Even after the travel support ends, I think you can still get great deals if you use Rakuten Travel discounts or stay on weekdays.

First of all, the food was very delicious. Especially the rice was really delicious. It is said that it is rice that grows storks, and it is said that it is rice that is cultivated without relying on pesticides and chemical fertilizers. All of the dinners were delicious with the impression that there were many twisted and elaborate menus, but the ingredients are good, so it seems that you will be pleased even if it is a little simpler. It was my child's birthday, so I added Tajima beef steak, but it was really soft and delicious. The Tajima beef ceramic plate grill has a thick sauce of burdock, but probably because I was old, this was lighter and easier to eat than the steak. The sashimi shrimp was also big, fresh, sweet and delicious, but I think it would be better if you could peel the shells. Children seemed to like steamed matsutake mushrooms in clay bottles. The children's menu is full of volume anyway. It may be unavoidable that it tends to be biased toward fried foods everywhere, but you may not need such fried foods. .. The hot spring is salty and warms up to the core of the body. However, the open-air bath of the women's bath can be seen from Marine World. Be careful when taking an open-air bath before Marine World closes. That is definitely visible. The staff were all kind to traveling with two mothers and children, and the rooms were large, making it a very memorable trip. The building itself is old, so I'm worried when I'm worried about everywhere, but I and my child were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

The view from the odd-numbered rooms will see the ski slopes, very beautiful. Convenience stores must be walked quite far. But at the hotel there is a water dispenser.

GGuest UserThe hot spring hotel is about a 5-minute walk across from Jogasaki Onsen Train Station and next to Jizo hot spring. The location is very good. All the reception staff are warm and thoughtful, with a sense of ceremony. The rooms are newly decorated and the facilities are very modern and complete. Even the humidifier is filled with hot spring water. The check-in is full of rituals, and the hotel offers a unique afternoon tea. The hotel's private hot spring is also very good. In winter, it is equipped with an orange hot spring, and there is also very considerate ice tea for drinking in the hot spring. However, the quality of the food is good, but there are not many varieties. It is not really a kaiseki meal. It is just a small bug.

GGuest UserWhenever I visit Japan, I always make sure I stayed in an onsen town for at least 2 nights. This time I chose Kinosaki Onsen due to its retro charm and close proximity to Osaka. We decided to stay a bit further from the main downtown since we want more peaceful ambiance. We arrived at 3pm and hotel shuttle bus were not able to pick us up since it runs from4pm- 10pm, however the visitor center has check in only shuttle for guests staying in nearby ryokan. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly, was given explanation of the ryokan and the surrounding of kinosaki onsen. We booked japanese style room with half board and we really loved our room. It was spacious, clean, and facing the garden. It also came with a kotatsu table! During our stay we also visited ichinoyu, goshonoyu and satonoyu and we agreed the onsen in the ryokan was still the best. It was quiet and most of the time I am the only person using the onsen. It also has complete amenities whereas the public bath outside only provided shampoo and body soap. The dinner included in the room rate was amazing. We ate snow crab 2 days in a row. On our second night we also tried the local beef. It was a really nice experience and the food was plenty, we always left the restaurant with full belly. The breakfast was also satisfying, traditional Japanese breakfast enough to keep us full until lunch. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Kinosaki onsen was a charming town and onishiya suishoen was a wonderful ryokan

YYIRENI saw Conan know the Kinosaki Onsen, and after I arrived at the Kinosaki Onsen Station on the JR5, I can contact the hotel reception desk. There is a car to pick up the hotel. The hotel is like a paradise on the lakeside and has its own yard. It is a fine traditional Japanese courtyard. Building, we go to the crab season, dinner is full crab feast, breakfast is also very delicate, the waiter is warm and thoughtful, peach wine and local craft beer are very delicious, next time a friend wants to go to Kinosaki will recommend this. Far from the hot spring town, we didn't go to the 7 pools in the town. The public soup pool is not very interesting. The hotel also has public baths, as well as free Yakult for drinking soup. Although writing 12 o'clock check-out, the hotel's last bus to the station is 11 o'clock. You can go to the town after you store your luggage at the station, eat the horse butt bun, and then take the 2 o'clock to the city of Osaka.

GGuest UserWe stayed at this ryokan with onsen for one night in August. The journey from Kyoto takes around 2.5 hours with Japan Rail - some connections go without changing. It's about 700-800 m from Kinosakionsen train station. When you leave the train station, you can either walk across the street and a few steps to the left and lock your large suitcase in the locker (but not too big please, our standard hard-shell suitcase was one a few millimeters too deep) or have your suitcase delivered to your room door a few steps further to the left for just 200 yen. Upon arrival at the ryokan there was a very friendly welcome from an owner who spoke good English. He explained everything in detail and took countless greeting photos of us with our cell phones. Afterwards we were accompanied to our room by a young lady and tea was poured at the reception. The accommodation has 11 rooms. The anteroom of the ryokan, where you have to leave your luggage and slippers, is very small, actually too small to be able to unpack halfway. The room itself is sufficiently large. As is usual in ryokan and Japan, there is little storage space. Everything very clean and well-kept. There is a toilet and sink in the room, but there is no shower, that's what the onsen is for. A total of two onsen - one outside and one inside like in a cave. Both really beautifully done. In the evenings the onsen were “private” - you wait until one is free, then go in, lock it and have it to yourself. The room price also includes entry tickets to the city's seven public onsen. We only briefly used a public onsen “around the corner”, the ones in the neighborhood appealed more to us. After dark we took a longer walk through the very beautiful place. The area is centrally located - but of course still quiet. A Family Mart is just 100 m away. We had booked with breakfast, which is consumed in the room. You choose a time slot - for us, 8.30 was the latest option. Be careful, get up in time, there was a knock at our house at 8:15 a.m. and the young lady first put our futons away - so don't worry about turning them to the side again when the alarm clock rings at 8:00 a.m. The Japanese breakfast is unusual for a Central European, but why not get to know other breakfast habits? The young lady who brought and prepared breakfast was busy with everything for at least 10 minutes. Check out by 10 a.m. at the latest. The owner was kind enough to drive us to the train station by car. I have rarely experienced so much hospitality in a neighborhood. Would I book it again? Almost 200 euros per night for 2 people including breakfast is anything but cheap, but the experience is certainly worth it. A clear recommendation from me if you want to experience something other than a hotel room.

JJIABreakfast is set, not buffet. Fairly rich and average taste. The location of the hotel is very easy to find. Dinner is rich, mainly crabs, at least two. Looking at the price of the nearby fresh market is still a good deal. The hotel room was quite large, and it was hard to want to get out of the furnace. Even the private soup inside the hotel is more general, and only public baths are available for bathing. There is no bath in my room. The public bath was ok. Playing in a bath with a mobile phone also ruined my facial recognition. We don't like going to the bathhouse outside, so we didn't go out for a bath after two days. There are not many places to visit nearby, the hotel dinner will change the content, staying two nights can be considered to play more fully. A nearby beef restaurant on the second floor is delicious. Just on the main road. The hotel service is really attentive, and you will be given shoes every time you go in and out. I'm ashamed ...

Excellent
GGuest UserComfortable business hotel in Ebara area. With fast free wifi and basic amenities like mini ref and TV. Toilet has the standard Japanese electric bidet which always appreciated, also bath tubs. A/C was cold. Slight old school room key with large key chain which you leave at front desk when leaving the hotel. With set Japanese breakfast but option to have bread and coffee which we didnt try. There is a family mart 8mins away by foot.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Tsuruya Ryoukan for a night, and had an excellent dinner and breakfast. The steamed crab and Tajima beef sukiyaki were especially wonderful. The service is excellent, and the inn is located within walking distance of two onsen! Just outside the inn, there is a place to make onsen eggs and a walkway filled with cherry blossoms. It was a really special experience!

Very Good
KK LouThere is no breakfast nor dinner provided by this onsen hotel, and restaurants close a bit early. If you’re looking for an onsen meal, you maybe disappointed if you staying here. Beware if you’re a foodie. The sound insulation is poor, please keep your voice down. Since the first night I arrived was windy and rainy, and the curtain for blocking the sun is made of bamboo, it kept hitting on the window all night long. There is no elevators and the stairs is very steep, be careful if you bringing many luggages. Although the servers do not understand English, they are very friendly and willing to help! Overall, I enjoyed a lot while the staying. Thank you!

AAnonymous UserEverything was good, but when I tried to pay the additional amount when checking out, they told me to pay even the room price I paid in advance when making the reservation, saying it was a 'tax'. After 5 minutes of us checking and finding out, they suddenly said to themselves, ”Oh,” and told me the amount to pay again. It was so At first, I thought it was a mistake, but when I thought about it, I saw that in Japan, even for small mistakes, they apologize repeatedly and say Moshiwake Gozaimasu, but the employee never said a single word of gomennasai. Are we Mistake? So, I guess we just said Hi My Steak and that because we are foreigners, we tried to eat the cash by ourselves, but if you read the review, don't live such a pitiful life. Really. And if you are a foreigner who wants to go here, beware of the guy wearing glasses who looks like the manager.
