The hotel is relatively old, but it is better in snorkeling and natural environment. The food on the island is not very rich, but the chorus of the island staff is impressive. It takes 45 minutes by boat to get to the island.

The front desk got the wrong room and booked the wrong itinerary for us, which caused us to waste time and money on the round trip ticket at our own expense.

1. The buffet breakfast is tragic. 4 days I a row the same stuff, which are maybe the cheapest options available. The bread is dry, no boiled eggs, no cheese, no ham, basically almost nothing. Sometimes, the fruit such as watermelon were also bad. 2. Dinner buffet, no idea. Dinner from the menu is good but could be hit and miss, portions are good. Never tried lunch. 3. Renovated bures/rooms are clean, although you can find issues if you look. There are bures that are not renovated, such as old timber floor, extra dirty sofa under the seating space, tragically awful front doors and the mattresses are not great, on the soft side leading to high lower back pain. 4. Towels, sheets and pillowcases are not ok, sometimes smell like sweat. 5. The baby portable cots are AWFUL. Broken underneath, no real mattress provided, basically not suitable to any standards, better put your baby on the floor. 6. Service is smiling and friendly, but only intentional and this is not real and pure for me. 7. Sometimes service is intentionally delaying requests, just because they can. 8. Location is good but you need boat, ferry, heli transfer, and all these cost extra and a lot. 9. Nature, reef, birds, fish, turtles are amazing. 10. Does not worth it, maybe if it is 200-300 per night I can accept it, but the resort is in a bad state! In general, avoid. I'll not return there and not recommend to anyone unless you want to prove my points wrong :D

Serious health risk Unsuitable for tourists in current state Pool closed brown water from kids pool sifting into adults pool algae around pool lights Unable to buy safe drinking water, food of very poor quality - we only stayed 4 hours The 2 other families who were guests (as it was mostly deserted) were trying to get off the island as well - difficult as the wifi did not work either. Very sad as the people are so friendly and we have enjoyed a beautiful holiday here 18 years ago

We had a warm welcome arriving off the boat & even saw a wild turtle. Loved our Bure room with hammock & deck chairs. Clean & well equip, especially with 3 kids. Our housekeeper did the best job & was so lovely. Staff were really helpful. Henry seems to oversee everything & does it well. Kids club staff, Izzy, Ice and Liz also excellent. My 8 year old daughters holiday highlight was Liz encouraging her to dance with staff after dinner. Food & beverage staff were friendly but were hindered by no organisation or system on food service. Everything runs on Fiji time which is fine however if you are prepared that nothing gets done unless you ask, longer wait time and to check for mistakes. Food is hit & miss and can take take 30-60min to come out. It is pricey due to being on an island. We chose Treasure due to the nature and eco tourism aspect. We loved the turtles & iguanas which you can feed daily. Kids club and adults activities also plentiful with good variety. Awesome amount of water sports and loved the pool. Snorkelling and kayaking on the reef was superb. Bring your own snorkel & fins to save time at the dive shop and hassle if sizes are booked out. Kayak to the sandbar and snorkel for the best experience. The island has had cyclone damage and is still getting back on its feet after covid too. I hope the funds are put into resort restoration, food & beverage staff training and eco tourism to bring it up to 5 stars.

Upon arrival at Treasure Island in Fiji we knew it was going to be a very special stay. We were greeted by staff members singing for us at the beach after a long day of travel which was a big and welcomed surprise. This really set the tone for how the staff acted throughout the whole trip. Paul, Henry, Penny and Phillipe were all standouts for us! The waters were clear and very blue showing off the coral reefs we were able to explore as much as we wanted throughout the holiday. There were many options provided to us to go out on a boat for snorkelling, diving or fishing. But even having your own snorkelling adventures off the beach was beautiful with so much to see. The villas were newly renovated inside and were very nice and relaxing to call home for the week. We stayed right by the beach and were able to go swimming, kayaking and sailing at any time. Food and drinks were all great with lots of variation, especially with all the cocktails ranging from local ones to international to cater for all. Enjoying these with a sea breeze really helped us wind down and relax. Please go and support Treasure Island, it’s Fijian owned and ran. They really show you they love the support and want to get you involved with their happy and relaxing lives as much as possible. You won’t regret it.
