Lovely Stay with family. The staff were very welcoming and went beyond to make our visit grest. The bar food was excellent and service was very efficient. Breakfast was cooked fresh and there was plenty of it. The rooms are spotless clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

Stated here last Easter Saturday, had been staying with friends in Cavan so we were looking for a nice relaxing good standard hotel for the night. Firstly the price of €159 was outrageous considering the decor and general condition of this hotel. We decided to go for it as it included breakfast. The bar does not exist as such, there are two stools at a very small bar area the rest of the space is set out as a restaurant pushing a very basic old fashioned 90’s menu. We looked to sit outside but hallway contained very dated old fashioned chairs and was also freezing cold. We had specifically asked for a quiet room,we were given the room directly underneath this horrendous fan that remained on until the kitchen closed and cranked up again at exactly 6am,clocks had also gone forward an hour🙃. We could not open the window because of the noise, room was extremely warm early morning probably due to positioning near said fan. Breakfast was let’s just say tight is the best word. We were handed two dirty plastic menus with options for hot food. No fresh fruit, cheese, meats, decent breads, croissant etc,I have never eaten at a more basic mean hotel. Girls working breakfast were very courteous and polite however the place was a shambles,no bread for toast, girls running around there were only 8 people including us there and it was only 10:10 am but there seemed to be no management structure in place whatsoever. This is very basic dated old fashioned hotel, whilst staff are friendly and helpful this does not make up for all the other areas that let it down. Stick to a more modest price point and guests may not be so disappointed. There are four star excellent hotels in Dublin City charging less

Breakfast really poor, unless you want a full Irish, don’t stay here. Hotel food in general is poor. Hotel dirty though out Bar is nonexistent, as they try to push food. For price you’ll get better anywhere else!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff are friendly, the bar and restaurant area is nice, and the a la carte menu is really good. I do have to thank the receptionists also who moved around our dates, due to my work schedule, professionally and without any issue. Some of the staff are stand out excellent and would serve any hotel in the country well. Unfortunately, there are a couple of minuses. When you emerge from the lift, you are greeted by a scruffy looking sofa badly in need of reupholstering. It should be hidden from sight in the meantime. A fresh set of eyes to look over similar tired furnishings may do the trick. The main issue is in relation to the breakfasts. Firstly, the menu does not match what is on the website, which I viewed as part of my decision to book this hotel. Our kids were very disappointed to be told that the pancakes 'are not available to residents'(!) which wasn't a great choice of words, to be honest, and the full Irish did not come with beans as advertised. Also, my wife's porridge, which she ordered due to a restricted diet that she is on for medical reasons, was artificially sweetened to the point of being inedible. So, the breakfast overall was a big black mark, as not one of us got a satisfactory meal. It may seem like a minor thing, but due to our morning schedules, our family really only get to sit down with each other for breakfast when we are away in a hotel, so we always look forward to it. It's easy enough to put right and will make a big difference to the overall experience. Negatives aside, best wishes to the staff as they really are lovely people. If we read that the breakfasts improve, we will have no issue paying the hotel another visit!

Avoid this place. The mattress felt like it was 10 years old and couldn’t sleep at all. There was a coffee maker in the room but not coffee cups. No soap shampoo or conditioner in the room just a dispenser bolted to the wall. Have been traveling all around Ireland and without a doubt this is the worst experience I’ve had

The hotel rooms were clean, the bed length is tiny (probably the smallest double bed, I was ever in), feet almost out of thr bottom of mattress and I'm on 5ft 7inch tall, anyone taller would be uncomfortable. There is NO residential late bar for a drink, the food was ok, this hotel does host teen discos & TY balls (you've been warned). The decor is old and dated, the mix shower/bath pressure is bad, the water justs trickles. But it was clean, so it's an ok hotel if you just need somewhere for 1 night, but not any longer, there is nothing else to offer. The location is good in Trim.

Oh my god. What can I say. Firstly we had had a very negative experience in the Trim Castle Hotel and rang here to see had they a room for last night. Lia the receptionist was spectacular. Great rate given to us. She met us with the biggest smile imaginable. She gave us a lovely room. The manager dropped us up more pods for the coffee machine as there was 3 of us. The bar and restaurant is amazing the early bird menu is great value. The food was piping hot and the atmosphere was lovely. A great experience.
