Trincomalee Hotels with Breakfast

Stay from 3 to 21 April as a couple. Superior room with ocean view. The room is not big but cozy, everything is thought out, cleaning is regular. The food is of high quality, but spicy Sri Lankan food prevails. Lots of fruits, meat, fish, grilled seafood. The beach and ocean are gone.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, this hotel did not live up to all of the 5* the reviews. In contrast to every other hotel we visited in Sri Lanka (we had stayed in 6 prior to this hotel) the management at this hotel was absent! The junior suite was very spacious and the beds were comfortable but like the hotel, the room lacked any type of character. The AC unit in the room was it working when we arrived and neither were several of the power sockets. Once reported, the management promptly sent out an engineer who managed to fix everything. The AC went off again the next night due to a powercut but the back up generator did not kick in for several hours as we were woken up at 5am by the heat! The bathroom was rather dated and the towels were not white and fluffy but an off white colour and fraying at the edges (and one had holes). The pathway to the rooms were also in need of repair with cracked tiles in several places. The pool is a good size but the sunbeds are old and quite rickety. Breakfast was ok and buffet style with a mixture of both Sri Lankan and western options. Lunch and dinner however were al la carte and they were both very good, serving some of the best food we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. If you are in the area it’s worth popping in for lunch/dinner, you won’t be disappointed!

Great hotel. Everything was nice. Me and my family would surely choose it again next time. Great location, great service, friendly staff. Good value for the money. Breakfast was delicious. Very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Few people, good environment, good service, the hotel's special staple food for breakfast is delicious, the seafood set for two at the beach at night is great, especially the crab is very tender. Living in the jungle chalet, a small courtyard with an open-air shower, returned to the room after playing on the beach in the afternoon, a small snake came, took a small jump, a different experience, haha.

The room is large, there is a balcony, and the food is delicious, the location is a bit biased, there are many insects in the garden, several swimming pools. I stayed for one night and left. There is a little beach behind, it is very comfortable to lie down.
