Well where do we start booked in for 2pm arrived at 4pm thinking give them plenty of time and the room not ready took another hour to clean with poor excuse then told no chef in the evening and the room we booked online was non existent so we were shown a cupboard with double bed in and told all rooms were the same. Then at 11.40pm had several people including manageress and her partner we assume very drunk proceeded to shout and talk very loudly right out side our door the next morning even though a full English breakfast was included we were given a sort of continental breakfast with smoked cheese salami bread grapes cereals butter no yoghurts things to put on toast no variety we were told there was no chef again so we filled up as much is possible with the small amount on offer but wen we were nearly finished they said oh the chef is here now do you want breakfast for which I declined as I had eaten enough but hubby had one but very greasy overcooked.

Absolutely loved it here, really friendly family environment, food is outstanding although I was told one night we were having pork chow mein and ended up with chicken dinner but other than that no dramas! Staff are superb especially Jeremiah and Lindsey who can’t do enough for you. Will definitely be coming back here even if it’s to give a song on the karaoke on a Saturday night!!

We had a great stay! Everybody was so accomodating and friendly. The rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable. Free parking available and the bar had a good selection of drinks. Good location for brecon beacons

Ordered beef dinner and 2 summer salads for delivery. What an absolute disappointment. The beef and vegetables where over cooked and watery. The salads should have had pomegranate pineapple and sweet chilli dressing. None of that was in there just a couple of grapes. The salads where £14.99 each. I phoned the Windsor to be told the pineapple and pomegranate was replaced with other things. I said a couple of grapes and no chilli dressing. I was told if I’m local to pop up and order food and I could have 20% off. Absolute scam. £15 quid for a bit lettuce cucumber chicken some grapes and tomatoes not the summer salad advertised. Won’t be eating from there again.

We stayed for 1 night with our 7 year old and upon arrival we were left feeling like more of an inconvenience than a welcome guest. The man at the desk knew nothing about us staying there so we had to wait for another person to arrive who wasn’t any more welcoming than the first and we headed to our room feeling quite put out. The room itself was clean and felt newly decorated. The beds were very wobbly and quite uncomfortable. We were told breakfast was from about 7am and if we wanted a cooked breakfast it would be extra and that would be available from 8am. We went down at 8am and the bar area was in darkness with no sign of anyone. There was a table with 4 crumpets and a few croissants on a plate, a few boxes of cereal and a bit of juice. The coffee machine was off and the water urn was also switched off. We had to rummage through the drawers with another guest to try and find some coffee which seems slightly ridiculous. Somebody showed up and seemed to be cleaning but she made no effort to offer and help until we asked for some water to put in the coffee machine and also some cups. All in all I we felt like the staff couldn’t care less about paying guests and we felt very uncomfortable. We will not be returning nor will we be recommending to our friends.

Visiting The New Windsor was a pleasant surprise, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The interior has been completely modernised and tastefully decorated with a lovely contemporary feel. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout the evening and the food delicious. We wish this new venture every success.

We visited here for Sunday lunch as we heard it had been taken over an some reviews were positive , unfortunately this wasn’t a good visit . The restraunt was very quiet was only our table and one more we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests who had come for food and drinks . We waited over a hour an half for our starters to come they weren’t to bad but then had wait a very long time for our food which we asked about 3 times an told it’s on its way , when the food arrived it’s was awful the whole plate of food was a Sunday lunch already plated up everything was cold nothing was warm the veg was over cooked an the meat also over cooked an like rubber , the cauliflower cheese was the worst I’ve ever seen it was just cauliflower that had been cooked in the littlest amount of sauce ever . Nobody could eat their food such a shame as the place is done out beautiful an the drinks an cocktails were lovely .

Staff were freindly and amazing train station just down the road but cant get uber in the area

Plenty of free offroad parking, staff really helpful and let us store our mountain bikes in their garage, room was clean and tidy, digital tv allowed us to sync our netflix. Would stay again.
