This is a charmless but functional place that delivers basic comfort at a reasonable price for Norway. It seems to serve aging middle-income backpacker types who can't deal with shared showers anymore, like myself and my husband. Our rooms were up a flight of steep, narrow stairs and through a heavy hallway door, not easy if you're dragging a suitcase. The room was dowdy but clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and good shower and a well-stocked kitchenette. Like almost everywhere we stayed in the country, only one of us had a bedside table and reading lamp. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. They let us stack our luggage in a corner of the small reception while sight-seeing on our last day. Tea and coffee machines are in the reception.
