Le Cardinal Exclusive Resort

We called in for lunch and were welcomed warmly as non residents. Food and service were excellent so good in fact that we booked a dinner for four on the beach for Independence Day. This was on the beach with superb food and service in an idyllic setting. I would look to stay here on my return to Mauritius.

No words will adequately describe the wonderful experience we had at Le Cardinal. The location is wonderful, the food exceptional, the amenities exquisite but the staff made it the holiday of a lifetime. Thank you to Kenny, Daniel, Rawa, Sujan, Axel, I’m sorry drawing a blank but you know who you are. The chefs designed food to honor the most discriminating guests. Thank you, for the most wonderful experience. For making us laugh everyday and gaining a few pounds…umm!!! I’m so excited for the future guests, enjoy every minute and moment. It is perfect!

Very good location. Very cool and peaceful atmosphere not crowded. Excellent food and friendly staff. Free water sports activities. The General Manager Mr Buton greets his guests and is very professsional. Enjoyed our stay; nice swimming pool . Shiva very proactive. Mr Thaikoor in the restaurant looks perfectly well in providing the services explaining the menus etc. We had a very nice time at this serene hotel🙏

We had a truly wonderful experience at Cardinal Exclusive Resort, Mauritius. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and professionalism of the team were outstanding. A special mention goes to Mr. Shiva, who was in charge and ensured that every aspect of our stay was perfectly taken care of with great attention and kindness. Enolla welcomed us so warmly, making us feel comfortable and valued from the very beginning. At the restaurant, Jean Daniel provided excellent service with professionalism, courtesy, and a genuine smile. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay memorable. Special thanks to the amazingly talented and consistently excellent staff, in the restaurant and the wonderful housekeeping team. Our huge thanks go to Pooja, Faiz, Axel and Surjan. You were amazing. We arrived home this morning after an 11 day stay. This afternoon, my husband told me that on our first night, he found a live rat in the bath. He did not tell me this at the time as he knew I wouldn’t stay another moment in the hotel. This is nothing to do with the brilliant housekeeping staff - it’s because the rooms are tired. There’s grout missing in the bathroom and in our case, a hole near the bath, which allowed our little visitor to arrive. We did have in many ways the best room (I have mobility issues, so it was very thoughtful of them to assign this to us) and the worst. Very dark, the only one without sunshine on the balcony, but nonetheless kept beautifully clean by the amazing housekeeping staff. It’s such a shame. Everyone is trying hard to be excellent, and they are. But I cannot accept what my dear, thoughtful husband told me after our return today. Sorry team :(

Very warm welcome from staff. Great experience . Clean room. Breath taking view from room. The sunset was just wow 🤩 . The food was great. No complains. Highly recommend

Very nice hotel in the northern part of Mauriius. We went there and were not disappointed. Great service and we were looked after very well.

Small unique hotel. Great location for business in north of island and ideally situated on private beach with water sports. Peaceful and quiet with very attentive and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and well appointed with great views of the beach and bay. Surrounded by tropical plantings, trees and shrubs. The restaurant provided a wide choice of very good food. Stayed for 9 nights and would return.

I struggle to find the words to describe just how ‘stunning’ our stay at Le Cardinal Exclusive Resort was. From the friendly, attentive staff serving delicious food, to the well manicured grounds capturing a variety of fauna, flora and wildlife, to the elegantly curated rooms featuring all the amenities you will need and onto the private beach with a lagoon teaming with fish and, if you are lucky enough as we were, a turtle. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel at home, which they continued to do throughout our stay. The breakfast, lunch and dinner menu offered an array of choices. With dinner specials each day adding to the menu variety. The food itself was well prepared and beautifully presented (you will want to take photos!). The staff were well informed regards each dish and served it with pride. We loved walking the grounds and appreciating their view from our room. Senses heightened by bird song in the day, bats flying at night and the gentle lap of the lagoon waves throughout. To say we loved walking the grounds; we also appreciated relaxing in our room. Elegantly decorated with an interior of dark wood, cream soft furnishings and the calming whir of the chic ceiling fan. Stepping out of the room to our private balcony to enjoy the surroundings proved an added bonus. As did the circular bath, candles and citronella incense, added touches to enhance your time in the hotel room. Time quickly passed lounging by the lagoon edge on the provided loungers and natural bamboo umbrellas overhead. Time also passed in the spa hut having a massage (hearing the waves and wind chime) and using the boat house equipment to explore the lagoon beyond the swimming point. To end our stay we were extremely pleasantly surprised by the overnight complimentary upgrade from the Junior Suite to the Penthouse Suite. Jacuzzi at the ready and even greater zoned space inside the room and substantial private outside area. The further complimentary offer of an extended check out time meant we could continue to have access to the rooms amazing facilities until leaving for our night flight home. We didn’t want to leave! Thank you to the fabulous staff at Le Cardinal. So many we would wish to name but the majority of our time was very pleasantly spent with Tauckoor, Sujan, Axel, Daniel, Rawa, Puja and Andry. The beautiful hotel presentation and exquisite food, alongside the staff, will not be forgotten.
