Shangri-La le Touessrok, Mauritius

What an amazing hotel!! The hotel was so beautiful with beautiful beaches. Beautiful pools. A lot of trees. Service was amazing. Good breakfast. Comfy room and amazing view from the balcony. Also free boat service to go to a nearby island. We were sad to leave this hotel and wished we stayed longer. Really there’s nothing negative we can say about this hotel. We will definitely stay here again next time we come back to Mauritius. Oh and they also gave us a bottle of white wine in the room! Now we are staying at another 5 star hotel but Shangri-la was so much better.

Just returned from 11 nights with my girlfriend and just wow, what a place. Words can't describe how magical and special this place feels. It really is Island Paradise & worth every penny. We stayed in an Ocean View Frangipani Suite and in my opinion is worth the extra money as you get access to the golden hour drinks and can enjoy exclusive breakfasts on the frangipani island. The private island exclusively for the hotel was spectacular and really a nice touch to have. What really makes this resort is the staff: Nitish - Saga bar. Amazing service, spent the night educating us on rums, so friendly and went the extra mile. Nirvan - Saga bar. Amazing service, spent the night educating us on rums, so friendly and went the extra mile. Chantelle - Republik Breakfast. So smiley every morning and very attentive, nothing too much trouble. Kiran - Pool waiter. So friendly and attentive, made the effort to talk to us and make us feel special. Johan - Private Island host. The most amazing service, really made our day every time we say him. The island wouldn't be the same without him. Krishtoo - Bar Man. He was covering on the private island bar and gave us such great service, he was also great at republik. Very attentive and friendly. James - Head Sommelier. We did the wine tasting with him, a great man and very knowledgeable whilst being fun at the same time. Heroo - private island waiter. This man was fantastic, he went the extra mile and set us the most beautiful table for lunch. A real asset to the company. Navin F&B director - always on hand for any issues, took the time to chat and really took pride in his job, I imagine he is a great boss. Annie & Linley - concierge. The 2 smiliest & friendliest people we met. So nice to walk in each day and see them so happy. Also a big thanks for the GM Gregory who assisted me in making the reservation for my partners birthday. Can't wait to return & thanks again Shangri La.

The exceptional level of service and attention I received throughout my stay at Shangrila in Mauritius this time around was irreproachable. The staff truly do their very best to make the stay a 5 star plus experience and always make me want to come back the next year for an even longer stay. Very special mention to Deepmala who took care of us and our room and definitely went over and beyond to make us feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The love she has for her job and the care and attention she shows to her customers is invaluable and we couldn't thank her enough for her exceptional service and irreproachable work attitude. She is truly a gem! Honorable mention also to Rajesh who diligently looked after us on the beach every day and made sure all our needs were promptly taken care of, and Jason who efficiently and smoothly managed our check out process and truly made us feel very welcomed and relaxed until we left the hotel. I look forward to coming back to the hotel on my next stay after its upcoming rennovation and hope to see all these lovely staff members again next time. They all truly enhanced our stay.
