Mercure Troyes Centre

When booking, I saw that 5-year-olds were free, but I still had some opinions when I arrived at the front desk of the store. After communicating, I checked in smoothly. I also added an extra bed for free, fearing that a family of three would not be enough to live. The room is large in size, and the corridor environment is average and has a strange smell. Parking is just opposite the hotel and there is free parking. There is a steak shop and a pizzeria next to the hotel, which tastes good. The church in Troyes is worth a visit.

Troyes Old Town
The hotel sits right on the front of a beautiful canal and has nice views over the old town. Very stylish decor everywhere no expenses spared. Wonderful staff. Great buffet breakfast with large choice. We went to the beautiful pool: nice after a long drive. Also very nice sauna. We used the convenient concierge hotel parking. We had a beautiful spacious duplex room on floor 2 with wonderful views over canal and town. Noise insulation very good. Only DOWNSIDE WAS THE BED in master bedroom: very hard mattress with uncomfortable very warm topper. Very sad not to sleep well because of this in such a wonderful hotel
Brit Hotel le Royal - Troyes

Recently I stayed for 2 nights with a mate and we really enjoyed this hotel and the exceptional service. The lovely blond lady who checked us in found me a room even though it was early and then a second room also about 3 hours before the official check in time. We both really enjoyed the stay cos the city is stunning and the hotel service was truly excellent. Thanks xxx

Troyes Old Town
The hotel is in the center of an ancient French town. The warm and romantic old buildings are great! Will live next time!
Ibis Styles Troyes Centre

We love Ibis and especially this Ibis Styles in Troyes. Been staying years overnight on the way to or from South of France, at least 5 years (except when closed for Covid). Always friendly and efficient and very pet friendly (with our 1 dog and 2 cats, €6 each). Our pets always get lots of attention from the lovely reception lady, especially the cats (and other hotel guests!) Not massive amounts of park nearby but enough to keep dog happy before and after loading back into the car. Extensive underground parking €12:50. Lovely rooms, bit of colour, typical Ibis “single-unit” construction, great shower. True, as per other reviews the AC is a nightmare and it was too hot but it’s rare not to be. You can open the window (except with our over curious cats). Cool neon sinks in the general toilets at reception area. They seem to have a massive fridge in reception as we always leave our entire icebox with them overnight. Breakfast choice overlooking the terrace and small lawn by the river (and the funky bulldog) is amazing. Boil your own eggs, squeeze your own fresh OJ, breads, cheeses, charcuteries, sliced citrus fruit, apple purée, pancakes etc. A shame they stopped doing their delicious tortilla española - please bring it back! Very handy for the Hippopotamus steakhouse chain when you’re late or the centre of town when you have time for a stroll. Troyes and its Medieval and 16th Century half-timbered buildings is a delight. We’ve discovered different parts each visit. We’re yet to visit its outlet shops. We’ll be back.

Troyes Old Town
In arrival we were allocated room 101, a ‘comfort room’ . We had a long drive from Provence so were impressed with the speedy check in and car park allocation. On attending our room we were dismayed to find the toilet seat up , urine in the toilet and the hand towels and soap used - the last thing we wanted at 8pm at night ! It clearly hadn’t been cleaned ! On complaining , the receptionist reallocated us room 104 and stated “I don’t know how that could have happened” . After we had unpacked into the new room the receptionist then offered us a upgrade. We’d already had a long journey and couldn’t be bothered to change room yet again so declined . If it had been offered before we’d have moved rooms then we would have accepted . On checking out , all became clear . The English man checking out before us , when asked what room he was on stated “we had room 101 first but moved rooms” (it’s a shame he didn’t have the decency to flush the toilet) . Clearly rooms aren’t checked between guest allocation . It’s a lovely hotel in wonderful Troyes but our experience was clearly tarnished . Would we use Best Western again ? Probably not based on this experience and competition at similar rates .
