Hôtel Mercure Troyes Centre

We stopped twice this September. Once on the way south & again on the way back to the UK. Nice comfortable city hotel in a fairly quirt area of town. But handy for the local Hippopotamus, pizza restaurant & cinema. There is also a younger persons bar off in the opposite direction. The rooms & beds are comfortable with both UK style oblong pillows plus the square jobs often found in and around Germany. A combination that works well for us. The TV had BBC World News. The breakfast area can sometime be a little busy but I really like the output of the whole orange squeezer. We have not used the bar. The free Wi-Fi is fine for web browsing.

Very good, and cozy hotel. It's well located, about a 10 minute walk to the historical centre by foot. Rooms are spacious, all equipped with Nuxe products. The have a filtered and cooled water fountain on each floor, and a bottle in the room which you can fill as much as you want. Breakfast is fantastic. Almost anything you want. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Shower head did not produce more than a trickle and was cold at 9am disappointing in a 5 star hotel Poor breakfast very basic toaster barley got hot so toast took 5 mins Disturbed by groups of teenagers hanging around the courtyard taking photos of cars so couldn’t have window open

Friendly greeting from reception who provided us with a room card so as to use to open the entry barrier to the car park. The foyer was open plan with a bar, seating and tables and chairs for breakfast. The same bar area was used for breakfast in the morning. The hotel is in walking distant to the centre of town. The receptionist provided us with a map showing a walk around the old town. There is a couple of restaurants near to the hotel including an Hippopotamus restaurant which appeared to be busy. We walked into town to the bars and restaurants there. Beautiful town where you can follow a walk of bronze triangular plaques with a knight engraved on them place on the roads and paths. The feel of the town was like being back in medieval times. The hotel room was very large and clean. A bottle of Apple juice along with water were in the room. Good shower in the morning. Breakfast was good and service extremely friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel. Clean large rooms in centre of town. Attentive staff and excellent breakfast. Parking very reasonable
