Upon arriving at the address, we couldn't believe we were in the right place. I does not look like any normal hotel and when we called the number, we were told they wouldnopen until 4 so we came back then. once the doors were oenm

This cannot really be called a hotel. The photography is creative and a little bit misleading. The is private parking but it is very rough and quite hard to wriggle your car in and out safely We arrived somewhat early and the gates were open, so we went in and parked, and were made to feel like we had committed some dreadful sin The owner manager is clearly very stressed and too busy to deal with everything- there is some evidence that they are making improvements but we did encounter a fairly long list of damaged items, and some incidences of less than clean areas - not helped by an obvious pigeon problem The breakfast was of a decent quality and quantity, but delivered outside !, the night before makes a mockery of fresh French baked goods Really can’t recommend this one

This is a unique place to stay. It is a very old building with lots of character - our room had wooden beams! The breakfast is given to you in a basket and you eat it in your room. The receptionist was so polite and friendly and so helpful with recommendations. The hotel is ideally situated only minutes away from the city centre. The city took us by surprise - it is stunning! You can park on site but you have to pay €20 but it is worth it for peace of mind.

The room was ok, but smelled of humidity and a bit mouldy.

Stayed here for 2 nights before travelling to our final destination in Burgundy. We arrived for check in at 4.00pm and were able to park temporarily to unload the car. There was on site parking but very limited and very tight to get in and out of. The very helpful receptionist who spoke good English directed me to a huge public car park about 5 minutes walk away where I was able to park for 2 days at a cost of around 10 Euros. The apartment on the ground floor was spacious and well appointed. Although the kitchen was rather limited for a longer stay. The shower room/wet room was large but needed a screen to prevent the shower water from reaching sink and toilet area. However, it was a very good shower. We had our own courtyard outside with table and chairs and we could also use the main courtyard outside reception. Some negative points, window in bedroom was cracked, and both lots of curtains needed re fitting and they needed to be thicker to block out the outside lights. A big advantage is that it is situated in the old town within easy walking distance of points of interest and dozens of places to eat. We chose to have the picnic hamper breakfast which was not really as described on the website and because it was delivered the night before the bread was not particulary fresh. There were no croissants or pastries and we had to buy milk from a nearby shop.

Pick another place This hotel is not in good condition. Scalding water temperature; continuously leaking bathroom faucet; bathtub with a sign -not for use; peeling ‘leather’ couch with a too small cover to hide the condition. WIFI was not operable for more than 24 hours. Indifferent staff.

We liked the historic building en the location in the historic Centre of Troyes. Last time we visited we were far more enthusiastic about the Hospitality and services. We missed the welcome of the owner, and we were not amused the the breakfast was served the evening before, while it was very warm outside. So old bread and melted cheese. We’ll come back when the owner is present!

We had an amazing stay in this lovely hotel. So quirky and full of character. Beds - amazing, best sleep ever. Walkable everywhere in Troyes old town, plenty of restaurants and cafes on your door step, grocery shop 5 min walk away. Lovely owners and housekeeping girls. Will definitely stay again as we are in this area often visiting my husband’s family. Definitely recommend!
