Sandals Grenada All Inclusive - Couples Only

My wife and I stayed here for our 24 year wedding anniversary. The staff was great! The room was good. We stayed in beach front room with the tub on the balcony. Which in my opinion is completely pointless. You’re visible from the beach and the tub is against a slat wall fence right next to another tub on the other side. In the event we did use the tub, we had the chance of being next to someone else using theirs next door. We did enjoy a couples massage. They don’t have an actual facility for the spa. They led us to a (I assume) regular room up the hill behind one of the kitchens. The food was just ok. We ate at the hibachi, steak house, and the Italian restaurant. The hibachi gave you a little bit of everything and was moderately enjoyable out side of the unnecessary banging every chef did at their station. I’m not old but I felt like i was because it was loud. The steak house was just ok. The Italian restaurant was good. I did notice that if you were drinking, your drinks were repeatedly tended to. My wife and I don’t drink so getting a refill of soda water or water was a little harder to come by. My own opinion but if you’re not a drinker, it almost comes off as an insult to them because they alway offer the drink of the day. We did venture into town and enjoyed the House of cocoa tour. Very informative. We visited one of the smaller water falls. Be careful jumping in towards the fall. It’s shallow and there is no warning. We did enjoy the diving. The diving is free. They do prefer advanced certified divers. I say that because if you’re not, you’ll get to enjoy some 50 fit dives of not a whole lot to see. They are very quick to offer you a discounted rate to get you to certified as an advanced diver for $370 per person. Which is a bargain but did leave me a little annoyed because although the diving is free, if you’re not advanced, you won’t get to see any of the better spots. The pizza by the pool is top notch. The Spuce restaurant for breakfast was great. The Neptune restaurant lunch menu was snack bar quality. The pub was also snack bar quality. I wanted to give it 3 stars but felt bad and changed it to 4. The people are as nice as can be. If you’re not a drinker, might not be the right location for you.

Firstly the customer care is magnificent, as you walk into the lobby the approachable, friendly, smiling staff are as helpful as you could ever want someone to be... The fact that you are then shuttled off in a little golf cart to your room with your luggage (either with or after you, dependent on amount or bags) is an added extra (the walk is never that far, it just adds to the customer care). The room we had was luxurious feeling, spacious and pre cooled for our arrival (in a hot climate that is another wonderfully thoughtful touch). More than one member of staff was happy to share with us the Wednesday evening activities of street food and live music, for not just guests but locals alike (the best part was they were thoughtful enough to offer guests the chance to book tables so the locals who all knew the set up didn't get there first and leave us out of the action). A magnificent evening that made the stay even more worth while.
Royalton Grenada, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

My cousins and I went on a 5 night/ 6 day trip to Grenada and stayed at the Royalton. Two of us had stayed at another Royalton in Antigua, so we somewhat knew what to expect. Overall, our trip was amazing!! The staff was so kind, caring, and attentive. The pools and beach were absolutely beautiful. When we needed or requested something, it was attended to very quickly. Even the medical care was amazing at the resort! One member of our party slipped on an excursion and she was taken care of at the nursing station on property, with follow-ups! Thank you to all of the amazing nurses and doctor who took such great care of her, especially Dr. Gilbert, Nurse Andrea, and Nurse Julianne. We stayed in an Oceanfront Diamond Club Suite, which had a beautiful balcony and the greatest butlers, who became more like friends. Kezia and Lindon, thank you for going above and beyond to make our stay so incredibly special (from decorating the room to getting an extra chair for the balcony to always checking in). Also, even though Brad was not our butler, he too become a part of our squad by making an effort to welcome us, get us settled, and help with whatever we needed. There is a bit of a hill to get to the main part of the resort and we would mostly walk, but there was also always the option of taking a buggy, which we appreciated. Our favorite restaurants were the Indian, Taj, and the Italian, Grazie. We ate a ton of delicious food! We also loved visiting the coffee shop for lattes, sweets, and even Nutmeg ice cream. Plus, there is nothing like having a tropical drink (or two) at the swim-up bar! For activities, we really enjoyed the Aquafit class and the balloon toss, but we were just as happy to wade in the warm ocean water or lounge in the sun. A few small cons that really didn't affect our overall enjoyment of the trip: -Many of the activities were cancelled or changed throughout our stay (this may be due to the fact that the resort only got busy when we were leaving- something we didn't mind, as we never had to deal with crowds). Also, we love earning prizes, but most competitions didn't offer any. -The spa does not have hydropools like some of the other Royaltons. -The buffet was just ok, which I have found to be fairly consistent across any of the all-inclusive resorts I have stayed at. **Some things to note before traveling to Grenada: -There are a lot of mosquitos, so bring good bug spray -Make sure that whatever cash you carry is in perfect condition- everyone takes American money, but no one can accept ripped bills as the Grenadian banks will not take them. Finally, some additional thank yous: -Leah, for your positive attitude and warm demeanor -Daniel, for being a great bartender -Chef Adrian, for the delicious omelettes accompanied by a serenade -Shakim and Tyrone, for always assisting us and keeping us safe -Akim, for offering a helping hand -Rocky, for indulging us and taking a ton of pictures for our photoshoot -Danielle, for organi

We were not due to stay here, but due to the Coronavirus restrictions forcing us to cut short a stay on Carriacou, we stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was a little apartment with a kitchen, sitting area, dining table, bedoroom and bathroom. The hotel is on the road to the airport so there is traffic passing by all the time, but we didn't really notice it being invasive. The place was just right for our stay - waiting 2 days for our flight home. We were the only people staying there at the time, so started our self-isolation round the pool. This had nice loungers with comfy cushions on, and a sun shaded area with a nice breeze. It is on a steep slope so I would not class it as wheelchair friendly or for anyone with mobility problems. Our daily work out was walking up and down the slope to the pool which is at the top of the property. The restaurant was shut (as everywere on Grenada) but they cooked us breakfast which we ate in our room. In the evening we went and got a take away from the nearby Pun-jabi restaurant (see separate review). We had a friendly little Gecko staying with us in our bedroom who we named Trevor. He seemed to barely move at all, but I entertained myself with thoughts that while we slept he raced round the room doing circuits. The bed was large and very comfy. they had 2 enormous double wardrobes in the room containing about 4 hangers. This wasn't a problem for us as we lived out of our packed bags. I would imagine it's not the sort of place where you stay for a long time anyway. AC in the room was very effective. No ceiling fan. The shower looked old (a fixed head coming out of the wall) but it was fabulous. Lovely hot water and a decent pressure. Nice towels, and the pool towels were nice quality too. Difficult to tell what it would be like normally, but this place served it's purpose for us very well. The reception staff were very nice and helped as much as they could in the circumstances.
