We stayed here for 2 nights, the night before our daughter’s wedding and the night of the wedding. All staff were fantastic, great service and always with a smile! We had a lovely private buffet dinner on the Friday, and then a fantastic meal on the wedding day in the great hall. Nothing was too much trouble, and we look forward to visiting again soon!

The staff were very helpful and welcoming and went above and beyond. The hotel was very smart and clean. We had a very quiet room at the rear of the hotel and the room had everything you would need. The location is perfect, only a 10 minute walk to the city centre. Plent of parking available at the hotel and the beaches were only 20 minute drive away. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We would definitely visit again.

We arrived at the Alverton Hotel to be greeted by a welcoming ,helpful and friendly receptionist . We had chosen a garden room which was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. That evening we had dinner in the restaurant . The waiters were relaxed but attentive and the meal was delicious but not too expensive. Breakfast was included and set us up for the whole day, what a treat. If you are a light sleeper and you have a nap during the day or go to bed early choose another room as the patio can be noisy with guests enjoying themselves in the lovely garden.

Attended a works party and stayed the night, the party food was delicious and hot, the room was warm, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and I felt completely relaxed knowing that the catering staff were putting in extra safety measures to cater for my food allergy.

Wonderful wedding at the Alverton. I’m the MOB & Clare the wedding coordinator was marvellous. Very calm & attentive with every detail taken care of. The building is beautiful & well maintained. The rooms are gorgeous & large with modern bathrooms & tubs ❤️. Terrace wonderful on sunny days. Food for the wedding was outstanding & plentiful. The room was so nice I would be happy to just stay in 😂. Breakfast was fabulous & waitress offered my granddaughter extra hash browns which went down very well. All in all I can highly recommend both the hotel & a great wedding venue. Thanks to every staff member for an outstanding event & stay ❤️❤️. I live locally but will be back just to treat myself.

I have always loved the Alverton so it was our first choice of venue for our wedding. Clare, Sally and all the team were absolutely fantastic and made it a magical day for us, our friends and family. The venue, staff and food were all exceptional and the sun even shone for a while. Thank you to you all for an unforgettable experience.
