A very beautiful place to stay, enjoyed everything about it from feeling like we had it to our selves to the big front porch we sat out on both nights to the breakfast setup.

We have stayed at The Grand Lux for the past 5 years when attending Piping on the Green Celtic Music Festival. Each time our visit is even better, and it always has been wonderful! The beds and rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff we have met have been friendly and kind. We especially enjoy the common areas; porches when it is pleasant weather and sitting room(s) when it is chilly. The other guests we have met have been congenial, some more chatty than others, but always the type of people we enjoy being around. We will be making our reservation for April 2025!

Stayed in the Grand Lux for 3 days while visiting friends. So many words to describe: elegant, quiet, clean, spacious, surprising, a jewel. We had one of six rooms, upstairs, with exquisite decoration. But we also had access to almost the entire downstairs, including a fully equipped kitchen, living areas, outdoor covered and open spaces. Truly an unexpected pleasure. Will be back at an undefined time in the future, wouldn't consider different lodging.

the place was very clean and neat but we saw no staff and were not told that there were steps. We are 80 and had two suitcases to carry up steps, it was very unsafe for my husband that has a bad knee. I think our paperwork sais that there were pastries in the frig and we did not see anything, the frig was pretty bare. The bars that were on the counter to me is not considered pastry. The TV was very difficult for us to figure out and called for help with it and never got a call back. I foung a person that was actually staying there to come in our room and show us how to work it.We looked for clean towels and cloths and could not find any, we don.t use washcloths twice or towels. The stair situation will prohibit us from staying there again.

Nice enough, but bed was sunken in middle. Very clean and looked great. We could hear everything going on in the house and it ruined the experience. Liked not having to deal with anyone for checkin or out.
