La Blanche Resort & Spa

Superb hotel ! We got free upgrade to a family room which was lovely and late check out too! Staff are very welcoming and kind. Spa - amazing! Food - everyone can find what they like. Turkish restaurant is a must to book - beyond delicious. Beach great, always plenty of shade and sunbeds. Location close to main town - 10/15min walk. Close to local market, shops, kids playground and great pathway by the sea for walks/jogs. MOST BEAUTIFUL SUNSET SPOT! Only minus : main pool 1.5m deep, so not ideal for small children. Kids disco is hosted in kids club and main show at the bar/pool area. If attending kids disco impossible to get a seat for main entertainment as you need to walk across the hotel. We had a lovely stay and will be coming back 100% !

There are two major issues with La Blanche - the food and the noise. Breakfast buffet is served in the canteen- style restaurant. None of the plates are kept hot and the food in the tureens is all lukewarm at best. The lids are left open by staff and visitors alike. By the time you got back to your table the food was cold. Food was pretty tasteless / bland on the whole. All the bowls arranged in different places - one place for yogurt, another for nuts (you had to search) and another place for fruit. Crazy. The food at the a la carte restaurants was passable although the service at times was not great. I had not finished my starter at one place and the main was brought out and just left on the table. The food at the snack bar was pretty grim. The burgers were terrible. On to the noise. We arrived and I had paid for an upgrade to a sea view room. All sea view room were right on top of the pool which was rammed. The main issue at the pool was the constant banging music all day every day at maximum decibel volume - awful. My first room was above the main bar area and stage area , I could practically reach down and touch the speakers. Joy. I asked to move and receptionist told me to ‘try it for one night’. I went back to room but decided I needed to change. I ended up downgrading my room to a quieter part of hotel. No refund given. The dour manager said he could offer me a sea view room which was quieter but I did not want to chance it. La Blanche is NOT a five star hotel. It’s not all bad, we made the most of the week. The area outside by the cabana beds is v pleasant and the sea is clear if a little fresh in May. Turgutreis is an average seaside town which is being developed. It still needs quite a bit of love. The local council needs to sort out the sad looking stray dogs for starters. The hotel needs updating in the bar areas and reception. The rooms are actually quite nice and spacious.

Just returned from our stay at La Blanche and can't fault a single thing! Food wise, the Turkish a la carte was amazing with fantastic sunset views. Snack bar was one of the best I've been to. Buffet restaurant always had plenty of choice and we loved the theme nights. Drinks were good quality, lots of choice and nice cocktails (plus they would make any up if you told them how). Entertainment of an evening was great, just enough in terms of variety, atmosphere and how late it went on. The pool and hotel is immaculate, it's in a beautiful location and is just perfect. What really made our holiday was the entertainment/animation team. They were always there at 10am to greet everyone and had a great choice of activities but most of all they would happily sit and chat and get to know you. Hero always made a fuss of the kids and was a big personality, Iris floated around with a permanent smile but by far the shining star of the team for us was Sunny (Aysun). I couldn't believe when she said she had only worked there a month! She is such a natural and a true asset to the team and your hotel. You can tell she absolutely loves children and we will miss her very much. If we could guarantee the animation team for next year we would rebook in a heartbeat as they really did make our stay one of the best holidays we have been on.

Had a lovely time but room for improvement. Lounger reserved by guests super early, especially with it being half term it can be difficult to get a bed after 8:30 at the pool, lots of loungers at the beach. Kids club is fantastic, the staff are so lovely and work so hard. My boy absolutely loved them! Kids pool and slides are great although only small area so not many loungers In that area. Location is great, 10-15 min walk to the town with shops, restaurants and bars. We got a private taxi from the airport and took around 50 minutes. Hot Food in the buffet isn’t great, very bland and the staff struggled to keep up with demand. Eggs raw in the mornings, food luke warm/cold. Snack bar food is good for lunch but the staff seemed clueless, bringing out incorrect orders, bringing drinks to the table that we hadn’t ordered and then not receiving other drinks/food that we had ordered! Turkish a la carte was lovely and highly recommended. Booked a standard room and received pool view, room was big, decent shower, yes there was a bit of noise from the entertainment but didn’t keep up awake and 3 year old slept through it. Bar in the lobby/entertainment area needs more staff as always a queue in the evening. Ice lollies in a freezer where you can help yourself 1:30-6:30 at the snack bar. Had a great time but few things can be improved.

Another wonderful holiday at la Blanche, what a fabulous hotel with fabulous staff. We have been visiting the hotel for several years at it just keeps getting better and better. The food in all 4 restaurants is superb, with service second to none. Our favourite was the Chinese, but all are superb. The Buffett restaurant has a great selection of food at breakfast, lunch and evening time. The omelettes at breakfast are fantastic. The pool area is clean and well kept, the gardens are pristine. The beach is spotless and the water so clean. There is water sports available outside the snack bar, we didn’t use this year but our daughter uses them when she is at la Blanche and she loves them, it’s called Conti and they offer great value for money. We always book our boat trip with Queen boat who are opposite the entertainment booth. Dave & James are two fantastic people and will make sure that not only your boat trip is wonderful but your holiday too. Nothing is too much trouble for them and if you need any help go and see them. Once on the boat the crew are fantastic with plenty of stops to swim. You can do a spot of fishing with the crew, swim or just chill. The prices on board are reasonable and the food for lunch is beautiful and tasty. The boat picks you up and drops you at the hotel so no need to be getting buses or taxis anywhere. As I’ve already mentioned the food at the hotel wonderful. We ate in the snack bar most days and the menu changed daily with plenty of choice. The staff in the snack bar -which becomes the Turkish restaurant in the night, are superb, and nothing is too much trouble. But we have to mention the fantastic Tunc, he’s such a wonderful person and can be seen racing around on his rollerboots serving food and drinks. Tunc always has a lovely smile to greet you and waves and says hello as he’s whizzing past. A big thank you to Ariffe who we loved being served by, again she had a wonderful smile and was so friendly and enjoyed having a good laugh either us. Also Bilal in the snack bar, another wonderful member of staff. We also would like to mention Cem from the beach bar, great barman and such good fun. He ran the bar like clockwork and made fantastic Polish Mojitos. We loved sitting on the decking, it was so relaxing and peaceful. The lobby is great if a night and the new extended terrace are is a great improvement. The karaoke night is a good laugh and Furkhan the lobby barman is great. The entertainment is great with plenty of activities throughout the day. We used to play bocchia with Chris who looked after us and somehow used to referee a very competitive game, but it was all in good fun. A special mention to Hero, who is a fantastic person. He wasn’t at the hotel last year and boy how they missed him, Hero seems to knit the entertainment team together, all the guests love him and he’s so friendly and genuine.
