Hotel Lido Beach PHG

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here. The staff is wonderful and incredibly accommodating. The location is perfect: the beach is right at the doorstep, and there is a stunning forest just 10 meters behind the hotel, making it feel like a true nature retreat. In the on-site restaurant, I highly recommend ordering the Mediterranean lobster—it is phenomenal though a bit expensive! It’s quiet and relaxing, but if you want some action, the water sport rentals are just around the corner 30 meters away.

Our welcome to the property was second to none, staff went out of their way to make us feel settled and comfortable. The location is fabulous, although Torregrande is a very small village, the hotel is near to the beach, bars and restaurants in the area. The swimming pool is lovely, meticulously clean and not cold, the gardens are so pretty and very comfortable with loungers, chairs and tables. Breakfast was included in our stay, it is a varied and tasty menu with hot and cold options. We ate in the restaurant in the evening which is superb.

Very nice hotel and super friendly. The surrounding of the hotel is less: bad road to reach it (via sandy parking) and the boulevard to the hotel is now under construction.

So friendly and a beautiful location if you want to be away from the tourist areas

This was a pleasant relaxing place to stay that is right on the beach. The rooms are a nice size. We stayed two days in two different rooms one was a superior room that was nicely appointed and appeared recently renovated. It was a relatively large space with a large bathroom & shower. We liked it so much that we decided to stay a second night. However, when we booked that, unbeknownst to us we were getting a regular room. Initially, we were disappointed by that as that meant we had to pack our things yet again. In the end though the regular room turned out to be a good size room too. The shower was smaller but still adequate. The bathroom was a good size though. The pool is really nice and clean too. (I have pools in both of my houses). There is ample free seating around the pool. We had snacks that we brought with us poolside and when we requested two glasses of ice from the restaurant the attendant said the restaurant owner wouldn’t like that we brought food with us. That is despite the fact that the restaurant was closed and we were hungry. The breakfast offering was just okay but enough to not be hungry as you start your day. The sand on the beach is a darker brown color which taints the water color a bit from the emerald green that it really is on the other beaches. Regardless, it’s convenient and refreshing. This was the best hotel we stayed at during all our time in Sardinia (2 weeks at different places almost every night). The pool is perfect, you have close access to the beach and last night there was entertainment on the beach, beautiful restaurant with great wine, friendly and welcoming staff AND large comfy rooms and comfortable bed and pillows. What more could you ask for?! It's like a small private resort experience. We are sad to leave here but happy our Sardinian trip ends with this hotel- the best one yet. Thank you to All the staff. You made our stay extra special.

We stayed 2 nights at the Lido Beach in a Superior Room. The Superior rooms and suites are located adjacent to the restaurant whilst the standard rooms are in the main part of the hotel. We chose the Superior room rather than a suite due to the bed in the suite being located on the mezzanine floor. None of the rooms have a direct sea view as the hotel is set back from the beach and there are trees and fences obstructing the view. The rooms look exactly like the photos and appear to have been recently redecorated. The bathroom was spacious with a great shower. The air-conditioning worked well. Bottled water and tea/coffee making was provided in the room. We had an issue with the blind over the door not working properly which we reported to reception in the morning. This had been fixed on our return in the afternoon which was impressive. We ate in the restaurant both nights and were given a 10% discount. The food was well presented and reasonably priced and there was a good selection of wine. The service both nights was excellent. There were a few minor points which we felt would improve the overall experience. Firstly, it took ages to get coffee at breakfast and the juice had all but run out both days. Perhaps a self-service coffee option would be better. Secondly, there is no seating in the room. As the Superior rooms have a small garden area outside it would be ideal to convert these areas into small patios with a table and chairs for having coffee/drinks. Lastly, the hotel lacks a bar. There is a very limited drinks list with no cocktails. As the garden and pool area are a nice place to sit it is a shame there is no option to have ‘aperitivo’ so we went to the nearby beach bar instead. This is a nice hotel with professional staff which fully deserves its 4* rating.
