I picked room 416 on the Hilton website about 4 hours before I was to check in. I went straight to my room and used my digital key. To my unpleasant surprise I walked into a room that was already occupied! I quickly left and took the elevator down to the front desk now uncomfortable and sweaty. And explained the situation to the front desk. I was told that that room was assigned to me and they needed to figure out what happened. I said I would have a drink at the bar and wait for a solution. After 20 minutes the front desk attendant came to me and said " Sorry bout' that, we put you in 316 because, well we don't even know what happened" So let me get this right. The hotel or Hilton messed up, and now I get downgraded and now have the very same person who has my original room stomping above my head!!!! Just a flippant BS "sorry" and your in 316 now and get lost. No one recognized my Gold status, or cared or anything. Wouldn't even comp my glass of wine. Horrible service, I just spent 3 weeks at a Hilton property. Apparently getting to Gold, let alone Diamond really isn't an important milestone to Hilton. I'm not interested in ever coming back to this hotel ever again. No water, no anything. The staff here are cleary not trained and that is a direct reflection on the General Manager. Who just fills out a cut and past response to negative reviews.
