When arriving to Casa Palopo after a three hour drive me and my family were dead tired and then were greeted by a welcoming staff who showed us to our rooms quickly.The food is excellent, never disappointed. Casa Palopo really made our stay in Guatemala fun and relaxing.

What a fabulous place to stay. We had the Santa Clara suite that had sweeping views of Lake Atitlan. Most importantly the hotel was so wonderful in letting us check in at 10:00 AM as they had the room available. This was SO appreciated as we had flown in on a red-eye and were exhausted. As this is an upscale hotel, it is a bit on the pricey side for Guatemala but if you can afford it - well worth it. The only caveat I have is that if you have any issues with climbing stairs this may present challenges as I didn't see any rooms you could access without stairs involved. The Assistant Manager (Edward) was very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed him and the rest of the staff.

Casa Palopo fue sin duda el lugar perfecto para terminar mi primer viaje a Guatemala. La habitación en la villa es hermosa con todo lo que se puede necesitar y desear. Un ambiente de paz , perfecto para contemplar la belleza del lago y la naturaleza que rodea el hotel. What a beautiful property with the luxury amenities of a 5 star hotel. The chef is amazing and we ate several meals in the beautiful ambience of their dining room. Comfortable beds and beautiful room with a view of the surrounding lake and mountains. We would highly recommend this hotel and its beautiful staff.

Probably the best hotel in the area. We stayed for two nights in this lovely boutique hotel. The views of the three volcanoes across the lake are amazing especially from the pool set high on the hill above the main property. Great food and friendly service.

We’ve just returned from a holiday in Guatemala and this hotel was undoubtedly the highlight of the several hotels we stayed in during the trip. Our room was in a separate building to the main hotel, situated a little further up the hill from the main building, but the (175) extra steps were definitely worth it for the even better views from our room - although the ones from the main hotel are still breathtaking! On top of this, the room itself was lovely, great size, tastefully decorated and with the some lovely touches including a bath on the terrace, spectacular views from the shower etc. The food was especially good with a good mix of local and international dishes and they served me the best gin and tonic I’ve had for years. This hotel is a must try if you are staying on Lake Atitlan.
