Beautiful view. Some inconveniences with mosquitos inside, room clean up and inability to draw a bath due to muddy brown water quality. Water shut off and disruption for several hours during one of the days of our stay.

Wow! Recently spent four nights at this hotel. Booked an oceanfront studio in the main lodge and boy did it deliver! The view was stunning. Bed and room comfortable and sitting on the balcony in the evening wonderful. We ate it both restaurants, Currents was fab, great food, great views and attentive staff. The bar was friendly and food was good. There chowder was amazing! All staff were helpful and polite. Only one very slight negative would be the parking, there is limited parking by the hotel itself and you often had to park quite a distance away, not a problem for us but may be for those with mobility issues. I look forward to returning one day!

The Black Rock Resort was certainly a bit different to what we had stayed in before. It was very modern and spacious. Check in was easy and as usual, the reception staff were very friendly. The bar and restaurant look out over the Pacific Ocean so the view is constantly changing. We didn't eat in the restaurant but sat for a couple of hours watching the views with some wine. The bar is used by tourists and locals which gave it a nice relaxed atmosphere. Our bathroom included a massive shower and a rolltop bath which you could sit in and open the shutters between bedroom and bathroom and watch tv! The kitchen area was adequate with a fridge and the normal appliances. We explored a lot so didn't spend much time in the room.

You will not get closer to the wild Pacific Ocean than in this facility!! Naturaliists and photographers dream location!! This is probably the most picturesque scenery on the west coast of Canada!
