This was my first time in Africa and enjoyed every minute at this gateway hotel and next to the wall. Perfect location and staff was outstanding. The customary drinks they provided while you waited for check in was A one. I will stay here again.

The room is quite big, but the sound insulation effect is average. Maybe it's because it's close to the road, so it's a bit busy at night. There are many choices for breakfast, which is very rich. The hotel has direct access to the gateway mall, which is very convenient for shopping and eating.

Had a very bad experience on 3 April 24 with the level of noice that was made on floor 3. This went on from 22:30-1:15. I had to call reception 3 times to assist in asking the other guest to keep the noice down. I requested to be moved to another room but was informed the hotel was fully booked. After my 3rd call to reception at 1:15 in the morning i was ready to check out and book into another hotel. I am disappointed that nothing was done about this and that the guest was allowed to repeatedly disrupt other guest. The main issue was the entire floor was occupied by SAPS employees for a conference and they were all having a massive party on floor 3. I have stayed at this hotel before and had a wonderful experience but not sure if i will ever stay there again especially if there is a conference during my stay.

It's a great place. Everything was perfect except wifi connection and pricy breakfast. But the location, staff and rooms it's top notch. One more thing I enjoyed was the view of tennis Courts. You can spend all day watching as a VIP.

Staff are super friendly and helpful and made us feel like family from the minute we walked in the door! Phumeza was a highlight of our stay… checking in on us throughout the stay when we were in the loby

The rooms were very spacious, but the OPEN bath is not conducive if you share a room with a colleague OR use the loo. A pull away curtain (netting) might do the trick? But all in all, a very nice experience. I've always wanted to stay there and now that I have, I would love to go back again. Breakfast is very nice with a lot to choose from. Even though it is on a busy road, you don't feel it or hear it. With direct access to the Gateway Mall, this could be my go-to-hotel. Just don't stay in the "standard rooms" - NO fridges. There could be a lot of students at the hotel, check before you go as they do get loud at night.
