We visited for two nights and stayed in the cave room. It was perfect for 2 friends. Pool amazing, breakfast top notch and the manager and staff were all so helpful. Lovely wee private beach to watch the sunset. Definitely would return and stay in one of the other rooms - they all looked spectacular.

We stayed for two nights at The Sergeant’s House, but wished we’d had longer! On arrival we were a little doubtful as The Sergeant’s House is just off the busy coastal road. However, once inside the walls, The Sergeant’s House proved to be a peaceful oasis full of lush planting, including wonderfully scented frangipani trees. The pool and pool area with dining loggia were beautiful. The ‘bungalow’ we stayed in was attractively furnished with good quality beds, pillows and linen. Our outdoor bath and shower were a treat with lovely toiletries. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all excellent. We particularly enjoyed the delicious fruit plates at breakfast. We each enjoyed a massage whilst there, which were great. All the staff at The Sergeant’s House were very friendly and helpful, particularly the manageress who glided serenely around the house helping us with wifi and booking tuktuks. The hotel’s small private beach across the road meant that we could enjoy a swim in the ocean as well as in the lovely pool, which wends its way around the hotel interior. We thought The Sergeant’s House was excellent and hope to visit again.

Hotel ideal, he venido con mi novio a pasar tres días, un lujo. Comida buenísima, servicio excelente, estás en medio de la naturaleza con el sonido de los pájaros. Playa privada ideal, no hay nadie !! Es un lugar mágico !!!!! Os lo recomiendo 100%

Would not hesitate to book this hotel again. It's a calm oasis set back a few minutes walk from the main beach and town. The villa is stunning and has a lovely pool and jacuzzi area. The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating and the food was fresh, delicious and all shopped for and cooked on the day!

A beautiful historic oasis in busy Unawatuna. The rooms are spacious and all the surrounding spaces like the pool, private beach and quaint sitting areas make it feel so prestigious. The staff are friendly , professional and polite. This is a magnificent place to stay.

A coastal oasis close enough but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Unawatuna and Galle. We stayed in the bungalow which was perfect for us and our 2 adult children. The service here was fabulous but unobtrusive. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a chilled places to stay on the south coast of Sri Lanka.

It's hard to know where to start with this review. From the moment we booked the general manager sent me a personalised message. We arrived greeted by a refreshing cold towel and a tour of this beautiful hotel. We booked the grand suite for 8 nights and 9n entering it exceeded my expectations. The room is huge tastefully decorated spotlessly clean. The bathroom is beautiful and there is even a small kitchen area. The veranda overlooking the pool was a gret place to have our morning coffee. The grounds make you feel like you are in a tropical rain forest and the pool and separate jacuzzi are lovely. Breakfast was a delight and they adapted every morning to our tastes. All of the staff are amazing and friendly. And the general manager is so lovely greeting us personally every morning asking about our stay and if there is anything they can do for us. All the staff were a credit to this beautiful place. Ps the private beach is stunning feels like your on a tropical island. I wish our stay was not ending tomorrow. Would not hesitate to come back. Thank you for a wonderful stay and happy memories.
