Cozy budget guest house. The water is hot/cold, clean. The hosts are responsive and kind. 4 minutes walk to the ocean. A good option!

Stayed 2 nights in a superior room. We moved around Sri Lanka by car and the important criteria for us were: normal access to the hotel, when you don’t have to wander through narrow streets for a long time, and the availability of parking. The hotel is located on Matara road, it was really convenient by car. The beach is very close, literally 100 meters and you can find yourself in the eastern part of the beach, although we liked the central part of the beach more, in the Thaproban Beach House area. There may be another 400 meters to this part, which is also not far. The room is really clean, it is clear that it is thoroughly cleaned before new guests move in. The bed is quite comfortable and wide. The bathroom is spacious, there were no interruptions in water supply. All the glass in the room is frosted and opaque. 2 narrow windows open onto a common terrace, there is a balcony. There is a common refrigerator in the hallway. The owners are polite and attentive. I didn’t really like that when we checked into the room, there was a very strong smell of some kind of chemical, either poisoning insects, or it was from cleaning products, but it was very strong, to the point of giving me a headache. The air conditioner is directed towards the bed and barely works, it’s quite ancient. The problem was with placing 2 small suitcases; there was simply nowhere to put them, only on the floor. The room has 2 bedside tables, a table with a mirror. The bedside tables were occupied with dishes and a kettle. The dishes had to be shoved into drawers to make room for our things. Overall, we are pleased with our choice and recommend this hotel; the shortcomings are not so significant and can be easily eliminated.

My wife and I vacationed here in February 2024. I would like to immediately note that the overall rating of Tripadvisor and booking is absolutely deserved. We were greeted warmly. The room is excellent and clean. Complaint No. 1 from guests is about noise from the street (the guest house is located right on a busy road), but we were immediately offered earplugs upon arrival). The room as a whole is very tiny (we had No. 34 - superior double on the third floor), but this is more than enough for rest and sleep, and I would also like to note that the bathroom is clean and quite large, at the same time high-quality tiled and has everything you need plumbing. We expected the worst, having read and seen enough of what kind of bathrooms there are in this country. I was very pleased with the opportunity to purchase the breakfast option (we did not have meals in the package). The breakfast is very tasty (we were offered to change its components every day within the range of variations in the preparation of eggs, a side dish for them, freshly squeezed juices/fruit plate, coffee/tea, the amount of toast with butter and jam), and it has the lowest price tag within nearby establishments , and there are more ingredients in it than in a cafe on the beach.. The amount of food was quite enough to fill you up. Tea was never ordered for breakfast, and coffee was brought in a French press, the amount of which was enough for four cups of drink (for two). Every morning at breakfast, the guest house administrator approached us, asking how we were doing, what we liked/didn’t like about breakfast, what toiletries we needed to bring to our room, and in general, whether we needed help. One evening we were offered a compliment from the guest house in the form of delicious pancakes with sweet coconut and tea. It was very nice and tasty. The room was cleaned every three days, but its quality, in my personal opinion, is higher than in many hotels in other resorts. When leaving, there was a very pleasant surprise in the form of a gift of a cosmetic bag and a handmade bauble. I would like to note that all the staff of the guest house are very friendly to all their guests and can answer any question that arises, no matter what it concerns. Geographically, in my opinion, the guest house is located very well. Across the road, 20 meters away, there is a passage to the Unawatuna beach, a five-minute walk to the left is an alcohol market (there are only two of them in the whole of Unawatuna. The second one is very far to the right and is already closer to Galle), where you can buy beer 2 times cheaper than in any establishment of the resort, as well as any strong alcohol. Five minutes to the right you can walk to the main tourist street (the landmark is the two-story illuminated tourist store SPA Ceylon on the left side of the road), where you can find a large number of exchange offices, cafes and shops. The turtle beach is 5-7 minutes by tuk-tuk. Summarizing all of the above, I can with a clear conscience recommend this guest house for everyone to stay in.

We rested for 10 days, everything was perfect! I didn't want to leave! The owners are wonderful, attentive, friendly people who surrounded us with care! The service was excellent, this has never been seen in any hotel before! Any questions were resolved, they constantly asked whether everything was in order, whether anything else was needed. We booked a superior room with a king size bed, the room was simply excellent, spacious, clean, with a balcony; the bed is huge and very comfortable, there is everything for a comfortable stay - air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, hairdryer, refrigerator, kettle, dishes, iron, large bathroom. Good internet. Beach towels provided. The room was cleaned efficiently, linen and towels were changed. The breakfasts are excellent, the coffee is delicious! We ordered dinner several times (we bought our own seafood and cooked it for us). The dinners were excellent! We also received several gifts from the owners, which was very nice! When we left, they called us a taxi. I only had positive emotions from my vacation, I liked everything!
