The room is very exquisite, the details are in place, the service is very professional, the balcony is very comfortable, and the garden view on the balcony is beautiful. The only drawback seems to be that the soundproofing is poor. If it can be improved, it would be perfect. Just outside the location, there are various shops, restaurants and bars, and the atmosphere is first-class! All in all, good reviews and highly recommended!

Excellent hotel, the rooms have everything for a good rest. The entire area is surrounded by greenery. The location is right on the main street of Unawatuna, 5 minutes from the beach. The hotel has amazing breakfasts, for a fee, very tasty. I recommend the hotel. If you go to Unawatuna, then definitely go there.

Very sympathetically done small hotel that is in the centre whilst at the same time a little apart from the main Una drag - my room was spacious and comfortable with a good shower and it’s own small private balcony. Plenty of space to stretch out and with a choice of two fans and air conditioning - I would highly recommend it

Hello. We were in cafe for 1-1,5 hours. We came and interested about is it okay stay here and work a little bit with the cup of coffee. Firstly staff say us — Yes, u can. After 30 or 40 minutes staff say us — may be bill? We say — ok. And pay the bill. After 10-15 minutes after we pay bill staff come to us again and asked — how long u plan stay here? I tell — may be 30 minutes, is it okay? No problem? Staff say — ok, no problem In 10 minutes he come again and say us — u use our internet and it’s not enough to pay only 3 dollars for coffee and stay here. No people sit in the cafe. It’s terrible attitude for guests, because firstly he don’t tell about fictitious rules in the cafe. Kindly no recommend this place. Terrible behaviour of staff and terrible service in Unawatuna.

Loved the architecture of the place and its attitude towards the environment. The hotel is also in very close proximity to the Unawatuna beach and has many restaurants and boutiques around it. By the ingenuity of design the hotel makes a hidden paradise in the middle of the city. Rooms are well appointed and are very peaceful compared to most Unawatuna hotels. We had breakfast from the hotel which was fresh and delicious. Ideal base for Unawatuna! ***an is a great host and runs the place beautifully.

A very stylish place where you feel like you are in an adventure movie. Very cool interior, huge bed. Rooms on the second floor with a nice balcony (but be careful with the door, it's low and it's very easy to hurt your forehead for tall people). The area is very cool, there is a lake with large goldfish. Chipmunks are constantly running, birds are flying. It is also possible to order breakfast and dinner. I was just dreaming about waffles and here they were! But in general, there was no feeling of comfort and desire to return again. It was beautiful - yes, very much. Cozy - no. Since the bed can be seen to be washed, but still there were unpleasant stains on the pillows and on the sheet. There are a lot of ants in the bathroom. There is a bad smell from the refrigerator. Above the bed, the insect screen is strewn with dead insects. I doubt that we will come back here, although I will not tire of repeating that the hotel is really stylish.

Amazing place 😍 The owner ***an was super friendly and accommodating. The staff were quite pleasant. The room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable. I especially loved the eco-friendly aspect of Dunes. Also loved the wonderful garden with its lovely swing and pond. We didn't have meals here, so I cannot comment on that, but they offered soft drinks and had tea in the room. Overall, it's a lovely piece of paradise hidden amid the hubbub of a busy street (5 min walk to the beach). Looking forward to staying here again.
