Perfect location for the University. Close to Riccarton mall and restaurants. Very friendly check in. Room was clean and had everything we needed. One day we didn't get a service but they did come and ask us if we needed anything in the late afternoon. Rates were very reasonable.

when me and my partner got there, we were told to be in room four and given the key for room four. before that we were told not to book through ******* with a very annoyed tone and to book directly next time (there will not be a next time) but if there was such a problem booking through ******* it wouldn't be an option we went into our room and it was very clearly not ours because there were two bedrooms and additional beds in the livingroom but this was the key we were given and we didn't want to bother anyone so we set our things down and went out when we were done with our activities, my partner got a text that they moved our stuff to another room and the way the text was worded made it out like we were stupid for not knowing this wasn't our room but we had places to be and if this was the room they were going to give us, that was going to be fine with us we asked for the key to our new room when we got back, got it and then some of our things were missing which meant they were still in the room, but there were now people in there so we had to wait until the morning to get our stuff we asked for our stuff again in the morning and we were told to go up there and ask for it back?? so we did only to see these new people were using my items and had drank our drinks and put them in the bin we got 20$ back for the drinks but i cant believe our stuff was lost and used like that and then me and my partner were forced to fix it ourselves when none of this was our fault

I (nicely) informed reception that there were a number problems with my room: an unfinished dodgy repair job that had not been completed or cleaned up in the bathroom; what looked to be a period stain on the bed linen and very dirty stained bathroom towels. The cutlery was dirty, the microwave was dirty, bathroom blind was broken and provided no privacy. There was a 40 foot container in the carpark in front off my unit. I asked what a suitable remedy would be for the bathroom and uncleanliness and they offered a $30 dollar discount on a $348 for two night rate. It’s a NO. I moved to Towers On The Park, it is by Hagley Park. The room rate was 130 and I upgraded to the executive spa room for another $20. I went for an amazing walk in the park. It is close to town and all amenities. The motel is slightly dated but very clean and the proximity to Hagley is gold.

The room was good, tidy, with a fine kitchen, utilities to make tea and coffee, a good shower and a very good bed. The hosts were very kind and helpful, assisting us when we had a cancelled flight at Auckland airport. We felt really welcomed by them when we arrived late in the evening because of that. We would definitely recommend staying here!

I stayed here in Jan 2023 and had a really great experience - the couple who checked me in were so lovely and accommodating, the rooms were clean and tidy and it was a great location. 10/10 recommend.
