The standards, menu choice and flavours were simply fabulous. We popped in on the off chance whilst passing and thankfully they could squeeze us in. Also the staff were so friendly. Next time we will definitely book. Would highly recommend 👍

Lovely area, very peaceful and outside area very well kept. Loved the Lodge but it was soooo cold. We reported it after arrival at 6.30pm and a man came out and got the heating going. By the time we returned from a fantastic meal at the Baiting House, which was food to die for and very attentative staff, it was back to freezing again. We didn't want to sound like a couple of old moaners so put up with it. But morning came & again no heating came on, again we were freezing. Such a shame we froze for the 2 days. For around £200 a night we never had value for money. We didn't get in the hot tub for fear of getting so cold again back in the room. 😔

Amazing lodge very clean and well kept. Check in was quick and easy and lodge easy to find. Hot top was spotless and big enough for 4 adults. Nothing was too much they even supplied us with Ice and an ice bucket. Views were amazing we saw liile deers and pheasants and Alpacas x Lodges not over looked, nothing was too much trouble highly recommended we will be back .

Fantasy food, make sure you get dinner and breakfast here. Staff were lovely too. Cabins and hot tubs were great. WiFi not possible in the cabins and no phone signal so you have to switch off!

where to start, when booking into to our room that my cousin kindly booked for a little 'couples escape' for us we had high expectations, but when coming to check in we were met with what i can only describe as a man in his late 60's greeting us with a fairly uncomfortable manner using words such as "darling" with my wife, we expect a somewhat more professional manner from such faces of the business, we were not sure if he was new to the business or if he was unsure of what he was doing when he tried to book us in and he just flung a key at us and that seemed to be the end of the conversation ( we have had friends before us who have said some of the younger staff seem slightly better at this), it did only get worse when we overheard that same man talking about his personal endeavours to another member of staff ( I don’t feel it’s appropriate to publish what he said) but yet again it made us feel uncomfortable, however we would like to note that the bartender we may have heard called john? was brilliant, attentive and professional the exact opposite of the other man. we elected not to dine in the restaurant as we had plans elsewhere but a brief look at the menu showed us why they got their Michelin guide accreditation, it just looked incredible. the only reason we have decided to give this location 3 stars was simply down to the outstanding rooms and their cleanliness, some work has been put into them to keep them up to standard these rooms really made the whole stay better, they can be somewhat pricy but without a doubt the three stars we have given does not do them justice the views at night alone are worth it and I can only apologise for the other staff members that have let them down.

Myself & my wife recently visited the baiting house & stayed in one of their studio lodges located in a private field/area to the rear of the main public house. The location is great, very peaceful & private. We made full use of the hot tub that came with the lodge & would still be in there now writing this review if I hadn't have had to leave... the amenities of the lodge are very good & clean overall. Well worth a visit.

I stayed at The baiting house lodges while visiting friends. And can say " WOW" what a place ! The setting for the lodges is a delightful sight set in its own pastures next to the very impressive and well resented pub On arriving at the lodge it was clean , had all i needed in there and the hottubbwas an extra treat which was very relaxing to enjoy too. . The pub itself is beautiful insode and out The staff was all welcoming and always willing to help with anything you needed. The food was delicious and presented well, I even tried thing i wouldnt of normally eaten as recommended by the staff and was impressed! Will definitely be bk and recommend to friends and family to visit .

Beware!! We booked a king size bed superior studio without hot tub. We did not get a king size bed. It clearly was not a 'superior' accommodation. We were required to park our vehicle 200 yards from the lodge. (another name for a cabin) Required to walk up an unlit gravel path back to the lodge unit. The occupants of the attached unit decided not to park in the car park but blocked our drive with their 4x4. The restaurant was having a big 'do' the night of our booking so we could not be accommodated for supper. Not given any notice when we booked. Only found out when we arrived. We were sent to their sister facility 'The Rodney' where we did have a lovely meal. The gentleman checking us in refused to believe that we had booked a superior studio with a king size bed, and until I showed him the listing on ******* he kept up the charade. He just kept telling me that was possible. So we paid for a king size bed accommodation and was not given the proper unit. In addition, it is a studio unit with only a mini fridge, no cook top or even a microwave. Sadly not really a studio. Beware this is the second time we have stayed here and not been able to eat at the Inn. It is a remote location requiring somewhat of a drive to find food. I would think twice. It has declined over the past few years.

I booked a studio cabin for my 20th birthday. The room itself was nice but the overall experience was not due to the lack of customer service. The estimated time of arrival is pointless - I arrived at the specified 3pm but wasn't given the keys until after 4pm. The hot tub was good, but the lid was shredded and in the morning we discovered that the water was green and murky. The fridge was broken, leaking water/coolant all over the food we brought so had to throw the food we brought for breakfast. Upon checkout I was assured that a lady called Charlotte would get in touch within 48 hours (by 7th January) concerning a partial refund but she hasn't. After repeated answerphone messages (nobody is answering) and emails, my girlfriend and I have still had no response. The stay was NOT worth the money whatsoever and we are very disappointed in the customer service - or lack thereof.
