One of the few hotels near the railway and main bus station in the city. But next to walking streets and malls in the city. Building is heritage and look oldish. But the rooms are clean and bright. Service is efficient when you want it. Could move in and out of the hotel easily. Walking distance to Uppsala University and hotel helped me with finding direction to SLU at Ultuna, outskirts of Uppsala.

We had booked a small double room and our expectation of the room was perhaps not at its peak. But already when we entered the reception, we sensed that "wow" it's nice here. We were checked in by a friendly receptionist. Allocated room was - ok - small but really nice. Appears to be newly renovated. Perfect size for a couple who likes closeness. The breakfast room is well proportioned and layout gives you a nice family feeling. In addition to this, a very well thought out breakfast is served.
We recommend the hotel for the above reasons paired with a perfect location with its proximity to Uppsala Central Station.

We were disappointed by breakfast where there were neither pancakes nor cappuccino machine. We have stayed at various Best Western hotels, there is always fresh orange juice and a waffle machine you can make yourself, here there is none! Not even own/homemade coffee bread.
The location is the only good thing!

It was clean and the staff was very nice. These are basically the only positives, in our experience. The room was so narrow that one person needs to be on the bed for the other to move around...
It was super cold both inside the room, in the corridors and in the breakfast area. Breakfast area is small and uncomfortable. We were asked to choose ONE hour that we have access to breakfast, where we had to stand in line for 20 min...Breakfast selection was not good (compared to other Swedish hotels in the same price range). I understand that there are many people who are looking for optimization and cost-effectiveness, but this hotel was not a great experience for the money that you pay. Will refrain from booking hotels from the Best Western chain in the future.
