Amazing experience. The Ryokan is in a good location, 5 minutes walk from the local JR station and 15 from the ferry port. My room was spacious with enough hanging space and I slept very comfortably on the futon on the tatami floor. Breakfast and evening meal were a delicious range of Japanese dishes which I can thoroughly recommend. The host, Haka San, went out of his way to make my stay as enjoyable as possible, and he also has great taste in music!

What a lovely little gem this ryokan. Very friendly owner! A nice room and more to see and do in town than I knew beforehand. Breakfast and dinner were delicious.

The host was very friendly and the room was clean and spacious. I had a traditional style Japanese room. The futon had several layers and was very comfortable. It was nice and close to usuki station, but even though there were lots of nearby restaurants on google I had a hard time finding a place to eat dinner when I went around 6:30. Most of them were closed. It’s also kind of far from the main attraction feature of usuki (the stone Buddhas).

First trip with my sister My mother passed away suddenly in February. That's why it's a healing trip for two sisters We are in our 60s, and at Goto Ryokan, we feel different from when we were young. filled with plenty The nostalgic atmosphere and the hospitality that makes you feel like you're back at home...I want to come back soon.

夜遅い到着にもかかわらず、快く迎えてもらいました。 急に朝食追加もお願いしたのですが 聞き入れてくださり、助かりました。 地元の観光のこともいろいろ教えてもらい ありがたかったです。

You can contact Goto Ryokan (Hige KUMA) by short message or email. What surprised me the most was that on the day I didn't ask for breakfast, I was offered coffee and other items just in time to wake up. It was only 2 nights, but I felt that it was a ryokan with really high hospitality. The bad thing is that it creates a comfortable space that worries about the utility bills of this era. It's a waste, so it's okay if you don't go that far, right? I felt that

I always stop by when I go to Kyushu. An old ryokan in Usuki, Oita. So there are some places that are a bit maze-like. But since I have visited many times, is it my home that I know without permission? There is no explanation these days (laughs). The husband is still young and runs the business together with his mother. There is nothing in particular. Usuki castle ruins and castle town are good places for sightseeing, but it's a nice place to take a stroll through the townscape. It's a ryokan where you can say "I'm home" no matter how many times you visit in a city with a culture of hospitality. The rooms are spacious and you can eat fish and local Oita cuisine. It's nice to be able to take it slow. Oh, let's go again! It is.
