We had a very good stay here, on the top floor with the big Uxmal pyramid visible in the far distance. Room was spacious, had a balcony, mini fridge and big shower with hot water. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Wifi signal was intermittent but eventually I was able to pay with my credit card. We took the Temazcal ceremony in the late afternoon and it was really excellent. I have been in other shamanic ceremonies in foreign countries and this one was well done. The Shaman was Mayan and did a wonderful job. If you want to experience the Temazcal I would say this was an authentic place to do it, especially after spending the day at Uxmal, tuning into the Mayan cosmology. The swimming pool was nice, big and refreshing, with cushions for the lounge chairs. The restaurant was just OK. We were too tired to drive anywhere else. We had been told they served fresh, local cuisine but I didn't think it compared to other fine dining we've had throughout the Yucatan. Overall, this hotel represented very good value for the money spent. If you are an independent traveler on a road trip, it exceeded expectations for the price.
