Dhawa Ihuru by Banyan Tree

It was so good. I would go back if I had the chance. The facilities, the ocean, the staff, and the service were all great. It was a choice I have no regrets about.

The room is not big but it is enough for a family. The island is small and snorkeling is really good. You can see many beautiful small fish not far from the shore. Unfortunately, I didn't find a turtle, but there are people around, so the chance is still very high. Finally, let me talk about the service. It can be said that it changed my impression of Banyan Tree. I have stayed in several Banyan Trees in China, and there are always various dissatisfactions. If it weren't for the shadow of taking a seaplane, and I wanted to snorkel, I might not choose Banyan Tree again. But this so-called low-profile version is really not inferior to any Banyan Tree with high-end decoration. Everyone has a lively eye and will provide enthusiastic service. Even many service staff know the room number of each guest. But I casually said that I came to celebrate my anniversary, so I decorated the room and sent desserts. When leaving the island, a row of employees waved goodbye, and the boat was still waving far away, which was very touching. I hope to see turtles when I come back next time, which is also a reason for myself.

The room is a bit old, but well maintained and clean. All-inclusive meals, free drinks. The choice is OK, especially the evening dinner near the beach is very pleasant. The snorkeling is good, the corals are not as good as before. Sharks are common, and there are many fish. Snorkeling equipment is free. There are deep diving activities on the island, and there are good scuba diving spots nearby. You can go to the Banyan Tree opposite for free, there is a large platform on it, which is very good for taking pictures. The Chinese housekeeper is good, a Malaysian Chinese. The service staff on the whole island are very nice. Since our plane arrived in the evening, we took a boat directly to the island to spend the first three days of the holiday. The children had a lot of fun. I will consider it next time.

The natural environment of the hotel is very good and suitable for snorkeling. It is a very friendly and low-key island, more suitable for family travel. It’s not far from Male, and it takes 20 minutes to get to the island by speedboat.

The rooms are average, the food and beverages are not rich but the products are excellent. The snorkeling environment is very good, you can see sharks and turtles. The service is pretty good, the room and yard are cleaned very well. The island is very small and only takes 10 minutes to walk around. You can participate in the hotel's snorkeling, fishing, and dolphin watching at reasonable prices. There is a gym but no swimming pool.

Top snorkeling holy place! You can go to the opposite Banyan Tree for free, with towering trees, but the rooms are slightly smaller, and the meals are more popular. Overall, it is a very good resort.

Our family often comes to Maldives and stayed here for five nights. Let's talk about the good and bad objectively. Good: 1) There is a Malaysian lady at the front desk who can speak Chinese, and she can serve Chinese families who are not good at English very well and in a timely manner. The lady's surname is wong, and she is very patient and meticulous, but sometimes she is on the morning shift and can't find her at night. 2) The overall quality of the service staff on the island is OK. They are polite and always greet you. Hary, the general manager of the island, is probably a Singaporean? The person who is fluent in English is very kind, and he also pays attention to the preferences and opinions of customers. He said that if Chinese people are not used to eating meals, they can ask the chef to cook some Chinese dishes. 3) The state of snorkeling is OK. We were lucky to see sea turtles, many nurse sharks and a few clusters of living corals. Because the island is very small, there are five water inlets for a detour. It takes about three days to finish watching it. After a few days, I have no interest in going into the water, and there is nothing new. And in the off-season, it is windy, waves, heavy rain and mixed water, and there will be big waves and choking water, or you will come up without seeing anything. Oh, by the way, there is a very lonely heron wandering around on this island, and many children went to take a group photo. bad: 1) Hygiene is a big issue! Our family has been to the Maldives three times. Among the mosquito bites this time, cockroaches and ants are the most. Other islands do not seem to be like this. Our family has 15+ mosquito bites and it is extremely itchy. There is mosquito repellent liquid inserted in the room but it is ineffective, and there are several cockroaches after spraying the mosquito spray. 2) We chose the all-inclusive three-board drink, the breakfast is almost the same every day, and the lunch and dinner are also extremely repetitive. Maybe other friends can try to order food, there are options such as burgers and bento boxes. If it is all inclusive, it must be very tired to eat for three days. 3) The snorkeling tubes, masks, flippers, and life jackets provided by the diving center for free are of poor quality. And the banana boats on other islands are free to play. Here, it costs 40 US dollars for 15 minutes. The price of going to sea is also high and his dive guide's English is not very good. 4) The sister island Banyan Tree and Dhawa are very similar. They are both small islands with almost the same beach style, and the shuffle boat runs every two hours, which means that I went to Banyan Tree and walked around for ten minutes, and then I had to wait. 1h45 back to your own island. 5) The room was not cleaned in a timely manner, and the sheets hadn't been changed for five days, why should a tropical island be changed every two days! It’s just that the waiter makes the bed a little bit every day... The toothbrushes given are not timely or not enough, and the waiter’s English is very plastic.

Six bottles of drinking water are provided in the room every day, which is very good. The snorkeling environment is very good. A few meters after swimming, the trench is just a few meters away. It is very comfortable to take a bubble bath every night. There are Chinese-speaking service staff at the front desk, and you can take a speedboat to go nearby for free. Snorkeling in the sister islands, the meals are all ordered, and the taste is also good. Online service staff are very enthusiastic

Ohne Wartezeit in Male wurden wir direkt zum Steg gebracht wo auch das Speedboat gerade anlegte. Eingestiegen Schwimmwesten an und los ging die fahrt zur kleinen aber wunderschönen Insel. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich begrüsst und zur Reception/Bar gebracht. Wo sogleich das einchecken los ging mit leckerem Begrüssungsgetränk. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich, herzlich und einfach liebenswert! Das Essen ist echt fein und es hat reichlich genug. Einziger minus Punkt sind die Preise die nicht inklusive sind: Spa und Tauchen. Obwohl wir noch den alten Preis bei den Tauchgängen gekriegt haben aufgrund falscher deklaration im Hotelzimmer (vielen dank dafür) Würde ich niemals 160 US$ für einen Strandtauchgang bezahlen wollen. Alles in allem waren diese 4 Tage einfach wunderbar und habe jeden Tag genossen. DANKE
