The double room is large enough for a family of three. There is an aisle outside the room with a beautiful view. However, dinner needs to be booked before 5 pm, otherwise there will be nothing to eat when you arrive.

We stayed at the hotel when the polar night came at the end of November. It was a very beautiful and comfortable holiday cabin. We also saw the aurora in the seaside sauna. I hope I will have the opportunity to come here again in this life.

The waiters were friendly and the room view was beautiful, but the room was relatively small and we didn’t have breakfast, lunch or dinner at the hotel, so we didn’t know if the food was good or not😊

The overall facilities are good, the location is average, and the indoor facilities are okay

We stayed in the double room in the main building after two full days of kayaking. Beds were very comfortable and sheets were clean. Note that there is no AC in the rooms, so may be warm in the summertime (you'll have to open a window to keep cool). Bathroom was good, solid shower pressure and warmth. Large wardrobe for your clothes. Good value for money, even though breakfast was separate.

We booked the sauna and jacuzzi and had an amazing afternoon! We spent 1.5hrs switching between cold plunging off the jetty, heating back up in the sauna, and relaxing in the hot tub. A great experience, highly recommended! Staff were really helpful and pleasant too.

Stayed in Skårungen two nights on tour in Lofoten. It it a cozy and very relaxing place to stay, and the breakfast is just what you need to wake up and get going. I stayed in the hotel part of Skårungen above the restaurant, and it was quiet and nice. The beds are fantastic. Would definitely recomend Skårungen if you need a place to stay close to Svolvær and all that Lofoten has to offer.

Lovely location with a fantastic view of the mountains and sea. We received top class food. I especially noticed the good atmosphere between the employees, and how pleasant and welcoming they were to the guests. Robust and homely interior that makes you feel welcome. I will come back, and then I will rent the villa, it was "high end".

Booked a tent site for a night during lofoten roadtrip. Self check inn was effortless and pick and choose site got you what you wanted. Shower/ kitchen included. Nice & calm campsite with the basics you need. During peak seasons the tent sites will be crowded and experience will be debendabt of your next door neighbour, like usually at campsites.

We LOVED Skarungen! We stayed in one of the glamping tents for three nights! It's very close to the parking area, so you don't need to carry your things far. On the other side of the little fence is the campsite, so there's a bunch of activity, but nothing intrusive or overly loud. The view is stunning...and steps from the beach! We didn't eat at the restaurant, but we did go to the bar a few times and loved both the beers and the cocktails. The bartender was super helpful in explaining the gin bar and all the little details - it was very appreciated! We rented both the glass canoe and the sauna and HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of both of those. The water around the hotel is crystal clear and we were able to see so much marine life paddling around the bay. The spa....no words. There is a sauna, a hot tub, and a ramp to the fjord. We could have spent all day there. It's on a little dock over the water and feels isolated and peaceful. They have laundry onsite as well and a little gift shop. We couldn't have wanted anything more from a hotel!!! Loved it and hope to be back one day!!

Best campsite I have stayed on so far on the Lofoten Islands. Has a very nice beach with some diving spots. There are hiking trails close by with high peaks, that staff explained. One staff is also very talented on the piano. Music is relaxing in the main bar/restaurant area which is at the reception. Very scenic, a nice contrast from the corporate world, views are amazing.

Totally stupid restaurant. You have to do everything yourself with your mobile phone. They tild us to be there early, because a group was coming. Restaurant was empty. No group came. After 20 minutes of fuzzing with the phone, we could finally order. Choice very limited, no fresh fish. We ordered bacalhau. They said it was with bread. We ordered additional fries. Bacalhau turned to be the complete cooked portuguese dish, not just the fish... It was very good, but please, please, please...

Great place, nice feel to it, welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Room well equipped, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Bar/restaurant/cafe area is mostly peaceful and a nice place to relax and catch up on stuff. The team here seem to have the hospitality thing sussed. Oh, the location is stunning too!

We stayed here for two nights at the very start of our Lofoten trip. The room we stayed in was the cleanest we saw in Lofoten, and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't make much use of other resources/facilities in the hotel (ate breakfast in our room, didn't use the sauna or kayaks) but we found the surrounding area very beautiful. The employees at the hotel were mostly accommodating and welcoming. One of us is Norwegian and one American, so we were mostly operating in English anyway, but I still found it a bit strange that not a single staff member spoke Norwegian. I'm sure older Norwegian tourists traveling in their own country would be disappointed if they couldn't communicate with people in a place they had paid quite a bit of money to stay in. I would say it's in general overpriced relative to what you get, but would still consider coming back in the future. We traveled by bus/hitchhiking and Skårungen worked as a carless destination. After flying into Evenes airport, we took the airport bus to Sandvika Kryss (the end/start stop of the airport bus) and walked 15-20 minutes to Skårungen. When we needed groceries we walked about 40 minutes to Kabelvåg, but you can also time it with the bus routes. When we went to Henningsvær on a day trip we took the bus from Sandvika Kryss and back, and when we headed west for our next accommodation we also took the bus from there. It's a very manageable place to stay without a car!

We where here celebrating love and that we made it through our first “hardcore hiking”. The staff was amazing. We lived in the suuper nice clamping hotel with our dog who also loved it. The hotel was clean, modern and still a cozy and Norwegian feeling. The food was really good and an extra plus for the amazing massage therapist, Jenny. Both of us have been working and staying at a lot of different hotels around the world and this was really impressing. We will definitely be back soon again. Sad that we could not stay longer this time.. Thank you Skårungen!
