We had a great time, the shuttle service was convenient. The Events coordinator Christian took us on amazing hikes, he was execellent. Vail village and surrounding areas was extremely picturesque.

The villa and resort exceeded expectations. The 1BR villa was very spacious and appeared recently refreshed. I had a corner villa with the best view of the mountains. The fire place worked well. Only suggestion is one larger bathroom rather than 2 smaller ones, though occasionally having 2 bathrooms was convenient. Kitchen was fully stocked with more plates and cups I could need for a week. Neighbors cooked a deliciously smelling meal one night. I was tempted to knock on their door and ask if they had room for 2 more. Covered parking was limited in Douglas, especially on the weekend. There was plenty of spaces during mid week. The ski locker was very convenient and made use of it rather then bringing equipment all the way up into the villa. The indoor/outdoor pool and indoor hot tub was a treat. Locker room was immaculate. Outdoor hot tub at the activity center was not open at this time. Douglas building was a short walk to the pool area. Pool table and pool sticks could have used some love. The shuttle to Lionshead and Vail villages was convenient enough. We only drove to Vail Village once because we had just missed the shuttle and parking was free after 3pm on non-peak days. This was very convenient. Westside Cafe is very close to the resort and has excellent food (they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.) Few restaurants deliver to the resort. Safeway is also very close to the resort and is open until 11pm. The resort could benefit from having an onsite market, but by no means a deal breaker. Overall my stay exceeded expectations. I was wary at first knowing it was a smaller resort without onsite restaurants or markets. However everything you need is close by and having shuttle service is key. Free parking, no resort fees and free shuttle makes this resort a winner.

For a business trip to the area-this was a solid option! Large rooms, well appointed and very clean. The no AC thing did not bother me at all, nor did I need it, even in mid August. They provided some lovely Dyson fans which helped, but it is also nice to enjoy the windows being open. Staff was all very gracious and friendly. The building itself is a little tired. Location is good for activities, just outside of Vail Village. You could walk it, if you are in the mood for exercise. I think in the summer it is more ideal than the winter as far as location to activities BUT the shuttle is fantastic and makes all of that obsolete any time of year. Vail is expensive all the time, so no surprise there that this was a hefty nightly rate even on a Monday. Seemed like a great place for families.

We really enjoyed our stay while skiing Vail. Our room was beautiful and clean. The shuttle was very easy and convenient to Lionshead village. We’d stay here again to ski Vail.

Overall the room is nice. Outdated, but nice. Having no ac was absolutely miserable. The pool was also closed for the week which kind of ruined it for my little one. I am from texas and can withstand the heat, but going out hiking all day and coming back trying to recover, is rough when it doesn’t get less than 80 degrees in the room. We had to sleep on a pullout because they didn’t have any standard rooms available and with a family that is not very easy to do. Just wish they could have been more accommodating. Even a window unit wound have been better than no A/c. The shuttle drivers were very pleasant and prompt. We loved them.

The good- decent rooms, clean and furnished. Staff is very friendly and willing to help for anything they can and in a timely manner. Free frequent shuttle service to vail village and lions head. Great shuttle drivers. The bad- There is NO AC in the rooms, if you come in the summer time please be aware of this. It has been extremely hot and uncomfortable in our rooms the entire stay we’ve been here. They provide box fans but it’s just not enough. It really is pretty miserable. We have a toddler as well so leaving the door open at night is not an option. The pull out couches that turn to a bed are extremely uncomfortable as well. Hard as a rock and there are no toppers available to make it any better. We’ve stayed at other Marriott locations and have never had any issues at all.

After booking two nights in a one bedroom, we discovered we could not go and invited our adult daughter and friends to stay. It is advertised as being able to sleep 6 (bed, sleeper chair, hide a bed couch, and additional sleeper chair). Upon arrival ( room 4203) they discovered there was no additional bedding provided for the sleeping beyond bed. They contacted the front desk three times and received nothing. On the second night, they were given some sheets. (Keep in mind this is Colorado mountains in February). They split up the existing bedding but no one was warm and cozy. We are owners in the Marriott system where they constantly tell you that you are "home". I would not leave my own guests with any bedding: blankets or pillows, in my own home. I have reached out to Marriott Vacation Club three times (was told someone would get back with me between 3-5 days. It is now 3 weeks). I guess if you're booked here, plan on bringing extra bedding.

A quiet, spotless and very well-equipped property. All the comfort and amenities one would desire, including a full kitchen and wood-burning fireplace. Would definitely stay again!
