Austria Haus Hotel

This is a beautiful property! Room felt very luxurious and immaculate. Beds felt like high end linens were used. Bath towels and robes were soft and comfy. Walk to Gondola took us 5 minutes with ski boots on. They have a complimentary ski valet at the gondola so you don’t have to carry your ski equipment back and forth. Breakfast was made to order omelettes our first day and scrambled eggs & sausage the next. There was also a huge variety of other breakfast foods. Parking was $60 a day. That was a shocker and unexpected! There were no other parking options.

The hotel is perfect and fits wonderfully with the magical ambience of Vail and the mountains. Paul and his staff could not have been more welcoming. This kind of hospitality is not seen these days, even in the most expensive places. We absolutely loved our stay, and hope to be back in the summer!

There are several beautiful places to stay in Vail Village, but the exceptional staff and service are what set Austria Haus apart from the rest. We stayed 5 nights at this luxuriously charming property and enjoyed every minute! Paul, Veronica and the rest of the crew went above & beyond to provide a positive experience from arrival to departure. The bellmen were so helpful and ski valet was very convenient. The complimentary breakfast was a perfect start each morning with a different main dish daily and tons of options to eat healthy - or indulge! The location directly along the river was fantastic with a stunning view of the slopes and walkable to everything! Countless restaurants and shops to explore just steps out of the door. We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub daily. Great environment for couples or families. The rooms were well-equipped, quiet and so comfortable that it was tough to leave. Can’t say enough great things about this place - we hope to return soon!

This hotel is a good value for Vail. Reasonable rates (for Vail) with great amenities. Nice pool/ hot tub with views of the slopes, included breakfast that had different hot items each morning, and prime location in Vail Village. Our 2 double room was nice and spacious. There was some pedestrian noise facing the front transportation center side of the hotel, but it was mainly during the day/evening. Staff were very nice and helpful. This was our first time to Vail and if we return this hotel will be our first choice to stay at again.

I stayed here with my husband and children and we had a great experience. The hotel is located in vail village and have busses that take you to and from vail village and lions head. So the location is perfect. The rooms were clean and they have breakfast in the morning that’s included with your stay. The staff was so nice and helpful! I can’t thank them enough for being so courteous. It’s a great place to stay!

Loved this place!

I cannot say enough about this property and the staff. They were THE kindness and most professional staff I have ever encountered at any property I have stayed. They went above and beyond and treated us like family. I highly recommend this property to stay. Bed was amazing, breakfast was exceptional, and the gentleman at the front desk was phenomenal. This will be my go to in Vail.

My husband and I enjoyed our 4 nights here. It's a charming boutique hotel and maybe its best feature is location. Very close to the slopes and the whole Vail Village is quite walkable with a nice bus loop as well. Rooms are not Hyatt chain cookie-cutter and may not resemble what you see on the web site (our King Jr. Suite did not have a fireplace - there is a "when available" caveat - and was smaller than pictured). The 4th/top floor was quite warm but luckily the windows opened (ended up not missing the fireplace at all!). Very large bathroom with double sink and huge tub. Staff is friendly and the included breakfast had plenty of options for us, though the dining area - which is also the lounge area - can get busy. Cozy fireplace sitting area and an outdoor pool and hot tub that were small but generally quiet and well heated. If we return to Vail we'd stay here again. (Side note on Vail itself: I'd say the general vibe is "a tony/exclusive Epcot Germany/France." Dinners were $$$$ and mostly disappointing, though we had a great experience at Vintage ($350 for two...). Definitely reserve ahead of time. The mountain is sprawling so it's worthwhile to study the trail map. We went the weekend before President's Day weekend and had great weather and few lift lines.)
