I can't say enough about this place. From the moment I arrived, the staff is so friendly and personable, not the typical canned trained staff you normally get from big chain hotels. I was there over Xmas and my boyfriends flight kept getting cancelled and he never made it. Each morning when I would leave for the day, the staff would ask about his arrival. When he didn't make it by Xmas day, Katie (?) invited me to her home so I wouldn't be alone. I mean, how sweet it that? I stuck with my brunch reservation though as I did want to continue to experience the town and cuisine. Still, the offer was so kind. As for the property itself, very nice. I was in a loft room and it was so cute and cozy. There are nice products provided and lots of towels. One of my favorite things is the real key you get...yes, a good old fashioned real key. The property is perfectly situated on the edge of Lionshead Village and short walk into Vail Village. There is a market right next door which is fully stocked with whatever you might need, pricey yes but convenient. If you would choose to cook, the kitchen was also fully stocked. Just all in all what turned out to be an unfortunate situation for me, was made much more pleasant by staying at this wonderful property.

Right where you want to be. We had an individually owned unit that was 2 bedrooms and an upper living/kitchen area. They will help you pick out a unit that is either updated or not (individual owners control this a bit, and the manager is helpful in sorting out quality).

This is one of the oldest properties in Lionshead Village. (They still hand out ‘old fashioned room keys!) BUT the owners have put money in all the right places. The baths and kitchens are updated very nicely. The condos are right-sized. The ski storage is very convenient. It’s quite a short walk to the Lionshead gondola. It is also one of the very best values for lodging. To top it off, the staff works hard to make guests feel welcome. They are first rate.

We just returned from another wonderful 7 day stay at Lodge at Lionshead, our second time this year and 6th stay since 2016! It never disappoints. We always stay in a platinum 2 bedroom, 2 bath and have ample room and comfort. Housekeeping was scheduled for Saturday and was completed while we were enjoying hiking at Eagles Nest. Everything was immaculate upon our return. On our departure day we were able to stay until noon as our flight home wasn’t until after 5pm and the unit was not booked that day. We so look forward to next year and another great stay at our home away from home!

Our family of seven (kids ages 10-17) just spent 5 days in a three bedroom/ three bath platinum condo. It was wonderful. The unit was immaculate and fully stocked with all essentials we needed for the week. The location is perfect to walk to the mountain and get kids to ski school. We also loved the proximity to the marketplace at vail (grocery store). We were able to cook dinners and relax with the wood burning fireplace. The staff was so accommodating and we will definitely be returning. This was our first stay at the lodge and I wasn’t sure what to expect. We were completely satisfied. We will be back.

We were extremely disappointed in ROOM 204 at the Lodge at Lionshead. It was supposed to be the highest level -- Platinum. The two bathrooms were original from the 1970's, I'm sure. The toilet was so low I thought it was for children. The jacuzzi tub was difficult to get into for a shower because it was so high. With no grab bars to hold onto, the flimsy shower door was the only thing to steady yourself as you climbed in. The shower head was disgusting. On day two, I used the other bathroom which was for our guest, and discovered that shower head was even worse -- it sprayed all over. The furniture in the bedrooms was overly large to the point of needing to walk sideways past a very large dresser in order to get to the other side of the bed. The 2nd floor living space was roomy, but the two leather chairs were so old, you sunk down, nearly to the floor. There was very little padding in them. We took pillows off the couch to sit on. The pull out couch was so deep you needed a couple of pillows to sit there. In other words, there was no where to sit comfortably to have a conversation, read a book or watch tv. Overall, the decor was very dated and definitely not a Platinum experience. For the price we paid, we really expected a nicer place with usable bathrooms.

I've spent a ton of money on crappy-value ski lodging, including in Vail. Though this property is 50 years old, it was probably the first skiing hotel I've ever stayed at that had all the makings of a good deal. First of all it's a small place so you don't have a mad rush on the hot tubs or pool each day. The build quality is excellent, the sleep quality was superb. The 2-bedroom was a bi-level with an expansive second floor. Very close to the lift and accommodated very early check-in.

I am always very well taken care of when I stay. Everyone on the staff is very accommodating to every request. The pool area and public spaces are all kept in superb condition. Housekeeping has always done a wonderful job and goes to great lengths to please the guests.
