The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The room was filthy from the start. No one came to clean our room during our stay so we had to go and request new towels and buy toilet roll. The mattress had a mysterious looking pee stain which was quickly uncovered as our bed sheet on our double bed was actually two single sheets placed horizontally (which is very uncomfortable and moves during the night). The duvet covers also had some mysterious stains on them, and the whole place smelt like bad drains! To top it off the doors don’t fit the frames and the walls are like paper so you can hear the next door neighbours having a wee and alarms going off in rooms all over the corridor (which got annoying very fast at 3am!)

The location saves this unsatisfactory hotel…Filthy rooms with stained and soiled carpets. Our towels and bedsheets were unchanged during our 4 day stay - even upon request. The final morning of our stay we finally received clean towels but the dirty ones were left in a pile in the shower tray. The toilet roll was never replaced, leaving us to purchase our own, along with shower gel that was never supplied. Our double bed (we requested a twin room) was fitted with sheets that didn’t fit … revealing a very suspicious stain on the mattress. The whole hotel smells of blocked drains and the walls are shockingly thin. We were woken at 2am by neighbouring rooms alarms and would even here people showering / using the toilet throughout the night. This truly is a budget stay to be viewed as a poor hostel quality option … you are paying purely for the 5 minute walk to the slopes and the very easily accessible boot room. Not suitable for families due to very antisocial language and arguments occurring in the corridors every night from drunk lodgers.

Recently stayed for a week. This ‘hotel’ is awful. It is effectively a Swedish youth hostel rather than a hotel. Detailed pros and cons: Pros: - Breakfast is ok - comfy bed - girl on the front desk was friendly Cons: - 1st floor smelt of sick the whole stay - Bathroom stunk of damp (extractor fan broken) - Extremely loud music played in the downstairs bar until 1am every night, unable to sleep - Door lock to ski room broken - security risk - Room left unlocked by staff after being cleaned - security risk - Rubbish left throughout the hotel corridors all week - Front door window smashed - Noise late at night in corridors - Clothes, including worn knickers, left in the corridor throughout the week - Filthy and unheated boot room

On arrival we had to wait 2 hours with no where to leave our bags as the hotel reception did not open until 4pm. Once we checked in the hotel hallways where covered in dirty dishes. On entering our room we noticed that our room had not been cleaned properly either. With dirt still on the carpets and around the bed. The Room The rooms are what you would expect from a hostel not a hotel. No TV, two very old and torn chairs. The bathroom is so tiny and shower is extremely small. We could hear most conversations on floor as the walls are paper thin. We could even hear the next room when they used the bathroom. Our room was cleaned three time during our seven day stay. Our floor had a really bad smell of grease which appeared to coming up from the restaurant. Hotel The hotel is a patchwork of holes in walls, damaged skirting boards, Ski- Room door was broken and damaged doors The glass in front door of the hotel was broken on the second day of our stay. No attempt was made to fix it. Which appears to be the theme the hotel is going for. Overall If you go with the mindset that it is a low grade hostel it would be fine. As for a hotel the place needs completely gutted and rebuilt. There seems to be far better and cleaner hotels in Val-D-Isere to spend your money on. Val D Isere is such a nice place to stay, but don’t waste your money on the Hotel Langley Victors.

Firstly. The hotel was terrible! It was more like a youth hostel. Broken windows at the entrance, broken toilet seats, filthy and smelly corridors. The whole experience was horrible! We arrived at 3pm to find the hotel in darkness and locked. It looked like the hotel was closed. No where to leave bags. We had to find somewhere to sit while I tried to find out why the hotel was closed. Reception didn’t open until 4pm. Outrageous. The walls were paper thin - we could hear people using the toilet in the next room. We stayed at Langley in Tignes and it was wonderful. This hotel cost the same price and was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
