The location was perfect for us, as we were visiting Oxford. Lovely quiet village near enough for the drive or park and ride. Car park available. The staff were exceptional. They could not have been friendlier, particularly Ronan the Duty Manager who made us feel so welcome and explained thoroughly where everything was, showed us our room and even explained fire evacuation procedures (very impressed with that detail as no-one ever does this). The room (3) was brilliant. Clean and spacious with a great ensuite. We ended up eating at the restaurant on both nights as the food was that good. Fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed my three-night stay at The Bear and would highly recommend. The room was comfortable and perfectly appointed. The adjacent pub was convenient for meals, and everything was delicious. Ronan and every other staff member I came into contact with was top notch. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay outside the hustle of Oxford, do not hesitate to stay at The Bear. I will definitely stay here again.

The property was beautifully decorated, it was clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was excellent. There was not one thing at the property that was missing. We also ate dinner and breakfast in the pub, both meals were delicious. We are from Australia and would recommend to any travelers.

Fantastic place to stay . Hotel was beautiful and staff were very friendly and welcoming . We ate in the restaurant and food and service was excellent. Cannot fault this place . Beds were very comfortable and rooms really clean . Marks out of ten ….. I would give 11 . Great relaxing place to stay

We arrived at rhe bear and ragged staff an hour before checkin and we were informed that our room was ready. That was the start of an amazing experience. Ronan who checked us in was first class at his job, telling us everything we needed to know but exceeded our expectation when my husband asked about parking in Oxford to get to the New Theatre, due to road closures he told us exactly where to park just a couple of streets away from the theatre and parking was only £7.95 as it was after 6 30 thank-you so much. The room was amazing every comfort thought of bathroom fab as was the shower, bed was very comfortable we were in room 1. We had lunch which was so tasty , and when we got back from the theatre they even allowed us to buy a drink. Breakfast was first class. All the staff were so welcoming and friendly we cannot wait to rebook

Lovely Hotel. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Evening meal was delicious, especially the Parsnip soup it was the best I've ever tasted. Staff were lovely & welcoming. Look forward to staying again.

Excellent pub and hotel in the most beautiful location. Frendly and efficient staff, nothing too much trouble. Room very clean. Food gorgeous, we had dinner, bed and breakfast and all was top quality. A little gem, loved it and will be back.

Went for lunch, it was our first time but certainly won't be our last. The food was delicious, the decor was lovely and so was the ambiance. The staff were attentive but not overly so, were there exactly when you needed them. Lovely location too!
