Shamrock Motel

You get what you pay for, air conditioner not working, they compensated with a big fan. Weather was cool so it wasn't a problem, I could have asked for a different room but didn't. No TSN on cable so I had to go to the pub to watch my football games. Overall the room was clean everthing worked (except the air conditioner), I give it a 6 out of 10 but I probably won't stay here again.

The beds were very comfy, which is most important when you are just staying the night. A little TLC and paint, it would be a great little spot. The owner was very nice. Thanks, Karen

Very dirty & rundown

Old and run-down. Long past it’s best-before-date. Obviously struggling to survive.

The upkeep of the property is awful. Broken doors, frame work of windows broken and in one room the light was also not working. The Manager showed me another room which was same in terms of other condition but lights were working. The towels are rugged and would turn you off. Floor was dusty. Bed sheet was clean

Very unkept, needs updating and repairs, understaffed, lack of housekeeping, locks on door didn’t even work properly or the keys.

The only thing this property had going for it was price and availability. The management tried to make things work but the staff was tired and overwhelmed with customers asking for thins like clean bedding workin fans etc

I booked 3 nights @ the Shamrock through ***********. Upon arriving @ the motel (6ish) a surprised women greeting with & informed me she was not informed that I would be coming. Fortunately there were a few vacant rooms. It took some effort to get the room set up with soap, toilet tissue, coffee maker, shampoo, & pillow cases. Pros: Room was warm, quiet, bed was comfortable & clean, lots of hot water, and the TV worked well of some channels. Cons: Room was dirty everywhere, walls pretty banged up & needed painting. I had to wipe down the vanity, door knobs, bathtub, table, night table, etc. Due to the unclean state of the room, & my reservation being overlooked, I am giving this property a "poo" rating. I would not stay here again.
