We chose this Rodeway Inn based on good reviews on the Choice Hotels site. A couple of days before our stay I looked at reviews at other sites and saw some really horrible reviews which caused me some concerns. We went to the hotel to check in and asked to see our room before we checked in. The room was furnished with unblemished furniture, crisp white linens and comforter on the bed, and very clean, so we checked in. I do not understand the reason for all of the horrible reviews that talked about pests, badly repaired rooms, nasty bathrooms, rude staff, etc. We found the bed very comfortable, the shower had great water pressure and a good supply of hot water. The desk personnel (also the owners I think) were professional and very friendly. It was everything one needs in a roadside inn for a comfortable night (we spent 2 nights). The cost was more than reasonable. Yes, the Inn is undergoing renovation, so there are signs of construction and the breakfast room is not available at this time. But, we saw no reason for the kind of reviews we saw at other booking sites. Maybe some people think they should be able to stay in a Hotel Intercontinental for the price of a Rodeway Inn. For us, all we need is clean, comfortable rooms with good TV, wifi, and friendly people - especially in the price bracket. We will happily stay at this particular property again when the opportunity presents itself.

Just to let you know there is no elevator and if you are handicapped, this would be a problem. I asked for a first floor room when we arrived to check in at 5:00 PM. They said there was none available and I was told that even if I requested it when I made my reservation, they could not guarantee my request would be honored. Very disappointed with this. We asked about ice and was told the ice machine was not working, but they had some behind the desk. We gave them a bag and received some ice. Breakfast was mediocre. There was real coffee only, no decaf. There was no juice. There was no yogurt, fruit, oa**eal packets, or waffles. They did have some cereal, sausage and what looked like scrambled eggs. They only had 2% milk. We saw little ants crawling on the counter by the cereal. When we were getting ready to leave, I asked for some ice as I wanted ice water. No good. I was told no ice was available and they just started the machine and it would take an hour before ice would be ready. Our room was clean, but the air-conditioner was SO loud. We didn't sleep much. We will not be going back.

I booked the hotel based off of 4.0 from the Choice Hotels website. They currently are not serving breakfast due to COVID-19. This is still the norm it seems. The room is nice and cozy. It is a double occupancy room with two queen beds, a microwave and fridge, and a clean bathroom. When I arrived it was raining and I drove around trying to find the entrance. The Quality Inn sign was barely visible from the road, it needs a new set of light bulbs. The building had no lit signs to indicate which way to get to the property. The building is not lit up outside and actually appeared to be abandoned. I asked the clerk about it and she stated it was because of the businesses nearby. The Motel 6 looks safer than this place does, the businesses are closed right now, light this place. They are doing some renovations on the hallway, I almost wish now I got an upstairs room, I would actually feel safer than having two entrances. The shower in my room gave only one option HOT or HOT. The TV did not work. I was not amused with the reviews. The room was acceptable as long as I only slept in the bed with no intentions of a shower.

This hotel is very dated, and is undergoing some badly needed updates. The parking lot was a mess, nearby properties were filled with old trashed vehicles, a bus that hadn't moved for months was right outside the front door, and the traffic noise is high. The room was dark. It was motel style with doors to the outside as well as a door to the interior hallway. A small coffee maker in the room and a refridge, and a microwave. No breakfast. At all. There was a grocery store nearby where we got breakfast fixings and ate in the room. The towels were very thin and rough. But the bed was fine and we were able to sleep.

1 - One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Moved rooms three times because doors wouldn't lock or lights turn on. Front desk showed minimal concern. Called manager and she has not returned phone calls. I would stay far away from this nigh**are.
