Central Hotel Vang Vieng

You can see hot air balloons and paragliders right outside the room. The area around is lively, and the breakfast is good, though it's the same every day.

As the name suggests, this hotel is located right in the middle of Vang Vieng's streets, making it easy to find. It's connected to the neighboring hotel. The street is quite noisy, so you can hear things from inside, but I guess that's probably true for other hotels in the area. The room lock doesn't require a key when you leave or lock the door; instead, you simply push the center of the knob from inside to lock it. It's similar to the old-fashioned locks commonly found in Japanese toilets. You'll need to turn the water level down quite a bit to use hot water in the shower. The button to turn off the light in the sink is a little hard to find, but it's next to the hair dryer. Apparently, you leave your room key at the front desk to have your room cleaned. I didn't use it. ... I don't know if you're the type of person who is concerned about a lot of things, but personally I didn't feel too stressed and I think the stay was worth the price.

Located in the heart of Vang Vieng, it's a great base for exploring. There are Korean and Laotian restaurants nearby.

The in-store price was actually higher than the online booking, which I don't quite understand... but there's no reason to extend my stay for three more days. Hahahaha~
