Diarrhea + bed bug bites = highly not recommended! ! ! Remember to bring insect repellent spray, as there is still a risk of dengue fever if bitten by local black mosquitoes! ! The hotel socket is European standard 220V, but a converter is required! The tour guide only recommends the Meliá Group because it is the only one managed by foreign investors! According to local standards in Cuba, the IBEROSTAR hotel is considered the best in VARADERO. The Google rating of 4.7 is also very good, but personal experience: 1️⃣The best is the beach (fine sand, warm and clear sea water) 2️⃣No service provided Tips are also considered appropriate (tips are even better) 3️⃣ Also, the hotel is small and has three floors. The overall environment is quiet and green (so the second picture is a sea view room on the second floor. In fact, there is no sea view unless it is on the third floor) But none of this can change the problems of hotel towels and bedsheets being worn, cold snack fruits deteriorating, and bedbug bites! If you like Meimeibu Hotel, don’t come here. If you really want to come, I suggest staying for 2/3 nights is enough.

Everything was excellent, from the rooms to the beach, the swimming pools and the food. Great, very friendly staff. Extensive entertainment program.

The staff are friendly. I am also satisfied with the massage. The cleaning condition is clean. However, the facilities are old and the taste of drinks and food is lacking.

The food needs more variety, the sweets need better preparation, the service is very good and the same cleanliness.

Fabulous hotel in a perfect location. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the facilities are first class and the variety and quality of food excellent. The beach is possibly the best I've ever seen, blue seas and white sand. A special mention to Laura at the customer service desk for being so helpful with all my questions. Cuba itself was beautiful and so welcoming and safe, can't wait to come back

Amazing hotel, beautiful surroundings. The staff here are incredible who go above and beyond to make your stay with them very special, they are polite and friendly and always there to help you. Big thanks to Laura on customer service and Lisandra at front desk who ensured we had a fantastic time and everything was perfect. The food is plentiful and delicious. The facilities are fantastic, the pool, beach, restaurants etc. I can highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely love to return!

This place is truly disappointing I was attacked by mosquitos . Breakfast was good lunch was ok but dinner was absolutely Horrible. The rooms were filled with ants and mosquitos I highly advise to reconsider if this bothers you. It’s truly disappointing to spend over 3k on a vacation and finish like this

We arrived in Cuba and exited the airport looked for our rep and did not see them!! Had to ask apparently Sun Wing and West Jet are one in Cuba. Sun Wing being the dominant so we walked by not knowing. Would been nice to have been told! Got to the resort check in was fast and the room what expected. This is our second time at a Iberostar both times have been disappointing. I don’t think we will try a Iberostar again. Now we know we were there in the off season and Cuba is always a crap shoot anyway. The coffee shop doesn’t open until 9 am, way too late for most people, you have to get coffee at the lobby bar. The drinks were BAD no way else to say it. I am not a real drinker, and I had a very hard time finding something that tasted good. Every thing I asked for they did not have the ingredients. Now this is our fifth time to Cuba so we know what to expect but this was beyond anything we have seen before. The food was a repeat every day, pretty much the same thing every day. Anyway we always found something to eat. I did wish that they would put names by the food so you knew what it was. We had a couple of women bar servers that were very rude they were at the pool bar. They also have no menus at the bars so you don’t know what kind of drinks they offer. The grounds were clean and well maintained, the pool was clean and very nice to be in. The beach was clean and the water beautiful. All in the people were nice, the place clean, the food so so. Maybe it was because it was we were there in the off season things were off I don’t know but we will never return to this resort. We will definitely return to Cuba

Local Cubans and guides say this is the best hotel - it's true! Excellent fun animation, very friendly staff, every day there were dance lessons, aqua gym, archery and much more! Aquaman, Yassel, Pedro, Lazara - the best animators! We will definitely come here again!

It's sad to see complete degradation on my seventh stay in the hotel, starting with cocroaches in the dining area, clouds of mosquitos even in the rooms, no mint in the bar, no limes. Room safe that can be opened the card, no number lock working.

This is my fourth time here in Cuba but this is the best resort in Varadero. A lot of fun all day, entertainment team do it's best every day doing differents activities like aquagym, dance lesson, petanca ar the beach, games with a lot of prices. My favorite day Thursday because of the foam party at the pool full of people enjoying with the entertainers doing diferents coreographies. Big hugs to Pedro of animation he always hard working for make us happy, is very polite, friendly always smile very good guy. Shows are amazing every evening with singers and live band sound incredible. Applause for the aquatic ballet every Friday at the pool. I will back again for sure
